Kev always gets written off as done. He will be back firing before December Imo. You can’t really expect to replace one of the best midfielders to grace the premier. Adapt is what we do best and adapt we will.At his age, if Kev’s hamstring is fucked, he won’t ever be the same player.
We’d have been planning to phase someone else in over next couple of seasons but this, if a proper hamstring injury, will accelerate this process.
The problem for Laporte is, after constantly playing CL & international football, will he want to give that up for the Europa League this season, with little guarantee of European football next season? Also, how would that affect his Spain place?Makes so much sense. Laporte is 29 now. Move to London to a good club. You scratch my back and we will scratch yours etc..
Keeps the money coming in to offset the Paqueta fee. All for this. Only issue is Laporte might not want to remain in the uk. Might not have a choice tho…
Tricky decision for him.

Problem is he's now a Spain regular and would probably want CL football. He's at the peak age of his career, so I can't imagine him wanting to take the step down. I'm amazed that some big clubs haven't come in for him.Makes so much sense. Laporte is 29 now. Move to London to a good club. You scratch my back and we will scratch yours etc..

He has a.choice if he doesn’t want to move to London, he can just stay were he is and hope a team he wants comes in for him.Makes so much sense. Laporte is 29 now. Move to London to a good club. You scratch my back and we will scratch yours etc..

Maybe he wants to see out his days playing each week. Laporte has nothing to prove. Plus I don’t see the foreign clubs queuing up? Which is a damn shame as he is still a very good player. The problem is, after constantly playing CL & international football, will Laporte want to give that up for the Europa League this season, with little guarantee of European football next season?
all on couple days jolly in athensNeed this done for the Newcastle game if possible although with everyone away unlikely I would imagine unfortunately
Hopefully not as bad as feared. What a player and person tho!Not if his hamstring is fucked he won’t.
Can’t see Laporte fancying that.
He’s miles to good for that level.
