man city

"City" and "United", for me. Find it's rare that Mancunians put "Manchester" in front, never mind "Man" which is generally used by rags from anywhere but the North West.

I never use the term "Man City". I don't know a blue who does.

Just City every time. As others have said, everyone knows who we're talking about, just as everyone knows when you mention "United" that you're referring to the reds of Sheffield, hence to be more specific they refer to the rags as "Man United" or "Man U". This is because the rags are actually in Stretford, so "Man", a place which doesn't exist, is used to avoid trying to pretend they're from somewhere they aren't. The gunners are from Woolwich, so their name is abbreviated in a similar fashion.

An American once told me that Man City sounded like a gay holiday resort.

My brothers car reg in America is Man City, which he removed after a while!

How funny that no one uses the name Man City until they are singing numerous songs that say Man City in it.

Better stop singing those songs then...

The only time I abbreviate Manchester is when singing some of the songs.
Speaking with mates and red cunts, its always City. When I'm out of town speaking to non-blues, it is always Manchester City.

Does anyone actually use this term when talking about city ? To me we are Manchester City.
Rags, haters and the rag media may use the former but no blue ever would IMO.
City
Manchester City
The Citizens

Not Man City. I'd rather spell out Citeh than use Man City. Even a shit comedian got it bang on when he said "Man United and Man City sound like gay bars".
