i'm just funny about our identity. I don't like "the Etihad" I want Manchester city up in lights at the stadium.
Indeed.

I also don't like how the badge just has "MCFC" on it, the words "MANCHESTER CITY" should be on our crest.

This has nothing to do with the subject, but I just started a blog where I gather all transfer rumors and sometimes give my take on things:

<a class="postlink" href="http://officialsillyseason.wordpress.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://officialsillyseason.wordpress.com/</a>

please spread it around

How funny that no one uses the name Man City until they are singing numerous songs that say Man City in it.

Better stop singing those songs then...
Name one song we sing that has the lyrics "Man City"...

I say man city as I have a stutter and it is the easiest way for me to refer to city, so, de Niro, I kindly ask you to fuck off. Please.

so you are travelling up to the game and someone says, where you off mate? you say man.

yeah.

My grandad always used to say " I'm a blue " every time he'd get the same response as away from the area - what Chelsea/City/ Birmingham.

The same response I give to anyone who says United, oh yeah which ones that then WestHam / Newcastle. Always seems to wind them up a treat.

When did that Man "phones for" U thing start, positive it was a London thing but I'd never heard it until a few years back. I remember some lad saying it, 1st thing that popped into my head was are you a wannabe rapper or something - pratt.

if someone asks me who I support I reply "gods own club" and wait for the look of confusion , and inform them I support "the only team to come from Manchester".

If it's good enough for Joe Hart to say 'man city' in interviews it really is a bit lame for anyone to suggest say that knowledgeable or true fans wouldn't say 'man city'.
It really makes no difference.

Meh, flapping a bit too much...

I wouldn't choose to say "Man City" although I've probably said it many times.
I could be having a full on conversation with somebody, extensively elaborating on something and just say "Man City" in that discussion.

I'm sure I have a jacket I bought years ago somewhere, Keegan era I think and it says Man City on the back.

A quick google search has just shown me loads of websites out there, example this one:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.soccerbase.com/teams/team.sd?team_id=1718&comp_id=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.soccerbase.com/teams/team.sd ... &comp_id=1</a>

Which names our club as Man City.
Quite a popular website that as well.

if I had just started a conversation with somebody and they asked me who I supported I'd say Manchester City... although if I had been speaking with them for a long period I may come out with "Man City"

Online I tend to type MCFC alot... rather than typing anything else as it's much quicker.
On Buemoon I type City or Blues as we know what this means.

On say a Chelsea forum if I put "Blues" they'd presume I meant Chelsea.

We rarely use our official nickname of The Citizens though. I've never heard one of our own using it.<br /><br />-- Wed Jun 26, 2013 8:52 am --<br /><br />

Generally I use City, sometimes Manchester City and on occasion Man City.

My flag says Man City (as does my username) as Manchester City wouldn't have fitted.
