Construction Update: One Port Street

Earlier this week our team captured some of the exciting progress being made on-site at One Port Street, the first residence within the Prestige Collection, in Manchester's iconic Northern Quarter.

Work on the foundations is ongoing and prep has begun for the ground beams which will support the building.

Manchester this morning to review progress on one of our build to rent schemes. We are progressing well through both blocks moving up to level 7 next week.

This high quality residential development forms part of the New Cross Neighbourhood Development Framework (NDF), which we helped develop. It serves the Private Rented Sector (PRS) market and supports the ongoing regeneration of Manchester city centre by providing 373 apartments made up of 1, 2 and 3 bed homes, including affordable housing, and 12 serviced apartments over the top of two retail units at ground level, and a new public realm at the junction of Swan Street and Rochdale Road.

The development is set across a single building containing two towers – 32 and 14 storeys - connected by a 6 storey plinth. The glazed and red brick façade is organised in a grid following the vertical height of two storeys.

Some great video footage of Three60 featuring things you would never normally see. Well worth watching.

Amazing to see a glimpse of the engineering that goes into building a modern skyscraper! Thank you.

A really good drone video of the Coop Live Arena showing plenty of internal footage.

Watch in HD.

On a dull, cloudy and wet day the GJS towers look really dark and moody. On a sunny day with clouds drifting by and at sunset the GJS towers sparkle, create reflections and wonderful colours.
