Our project at All Saints Park being delivered on behalf of Manchester Metropolitan University is really taking shape! Can you spot the University students who were visiting site the day the drone footage was captured?

Within the park, four outer quadrants have been turfed with a combination of natural and wildflower turf and the central soft areas turfing is in progress. The final resin surface will be installed later this month.

Externally, the drainage and tree cell installations are complete and the 45-degree granite paving work is ongoing.

The project will boost biodiversity and open up the area around All Saints Park allowing both pedestrians and cyclist movements to be prioritised, promoting active travel in the city. As part of the project, new trees and wildflower areas will be planted, creating a greener, more biodiverse space for everyone to enjoy.

The quality of the picture isn’t great.

I'm sure I would've heard, but is there anything planned for the car park to the right of this development (think it's the Bridgewater Hall Car Park)?

There was an 'star-chitect mooted for this plot many years ago, but I'd hazard a guess that's dead in the water.

There have been rumours about a proposed tower on the car park swirling around SSC-MCR for years, but nothing concrete, excuse the pun, has ever materialised.

A tower and an apartment block or office block on the car park was part of a First Street massing model on Jon Matthews Architects website from a few years back.

Work continues at pace on site at Plot 9a at First Street in Manchester city centre...

Set to be home to the Government Property Agency, this net zero carbon next generation office scheme will be the base for 2,500 civil servants and take the total number of people working at First Street to approximately 6000.

In these latest drone photos, the site is a hive of activity and the Techrete UK & Ireland façade is already looking striking as it is being installed.

When we took the drone to the Salford sky on Worrall street we flew it a few hundred yards down the river Irwell to the huge new Berkeley Square development phase one where we are with the great people at The Heaton Group. This huge area will comprise 500 one, two and three bed apartments with emphasis and focus on community, wellness and connectivity and close to Media city and Manchester city centre.

On phase one we are fabricating and installing Aluprof UK MB-SR50N curtain wall, MB-79 doors, MB-79 windows fitted with Ravensby Glass Co Ltd and MB-78El fire rated screens.

We are really proud of playing our part in the regeneration of the exciting future for Manchester over the past few years and can't wait to see this site grow from the ground up with both phases due for completion in 2026.

Great to see progress being made at Waterhouse Gardens.

Last week we attended the pre-pour inspection for the Block C Level 1 slab at Waterhouse Gardens. For Block A the slipform was at level 3 and preparations were being made to form the ground floor slab.

We are in the busy stage of the project currently with both the sub-structure and superstructure progressing in tandem.

The Waterhouse Gardens project is a transformation of the historic Boddington’s Brewery site into luxurious residential developments comprised of five distinct concrete frame buildings, and steel frame retail units. The scheme will bring tasteful modern apartment living to an increasingly desirable part of Manchester city centre.

Settio Property Experience

Last weekend, our Asia-Desk team and Co-Founder, Samuel Fitz-Hugh, had the pleasure of supporting our partners at the Hong Kong launch of Falcon, the latest building launched in Red Bank, a new neighbourhood by Far East Consortium UK.

Falcon, a 20-storey brick exterior building, will complete in 2027 and deliver 189 contemporary one, two, and three-bedroom homes to the total 15,000 scheduled in Manchester’s Victoria North regeneration project, a joint venture between Far East Consortium UK and Manchester City Council.
