Pep and Jose are probably better than Bobby. After those two is there really enough reward to bringing someone else in?

What makes Conte, Pellegrini, Klopp, De Boer any better than a man who was won cup after cup in England and Italy and isn't even 50.

Honestly bored now, who will we have to put up being the new name bandied about come September?!
Winning the Bundesliga two years in a row ahead of Bayern without spending anything and the DFB pokal 2011-12, I think his 2011 cost around £15mil. He got 4 points in CL 2011-12 finishing above Arsenal, Marseille and Olympiakos. And look at his improvements the year after, it´s astonishing really to be in a semifinal with a team that cost as much as two of our players, give credit where it´s due. He´s no rookie and his team plays beatiful fotboll, they taught us a lesson twice I might add. He wins throphies, brings young players through and seems like all around decent guy.
I would take Klopp, but I feel he isn't realistic option right now, and that is the point being made. People like Guardiola and Klopp may be better for us than Mancini but they are not options atm (at least that is what it seems like from Klopp).
Ok, I thought you meant that only Guardiola and JM were fit to take over Mancini and the likes of Klopp etc weren´t.

Antonio Conte has emerged as a managerial target for Manchester City

The Citizens are still on course to finish their season with a silver lining after beating Chelsea 2-1 in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

Although they could lift a domestic trophy, Mancini isn't guaranteed to stay in his job next season.

And Conte, who was a target for Chelsea in the summer, has appeared on City's agenda.

Italian paper Corriere dello Sport claimed City have made an early approach for Conte.

The 43-year-old could see his side take a massive step towards the Serie A title if they beat Lazio tonight.

He was given a 10-month touchline ban at the start of the season for his part in Serie A's match-fixing scandal.

Simply another rag hack amongst all the others who think they have a say in how football is run.

To clarify I do think Klopp would be a worthy successor to Bobby. But the gain could be cancelled out by the risk and disruption. All the candidates I named are excellent managers but I just don't think they're worth ousting our manager for, he's been successful here and the way I see it only those two really special managers guarantee success any more than he does.

It's easy to see flaws in Mancini right now but that next manager is going to be judged his three \ four trophies in three years. It's an impressive record and not one to sacrifice lightly.

Honestly, I look at other teams and compare them to our own and I think by now we should be walking the Premiership and competing right now for Champions League glory.

Just see how Manchester United have won the Premiership at a canter... mash up the Manchester United line-up with our own from last Monday, you would only swap in Van Persie from their team. Chelsea is a club in absolute turmoil and I think we should be by far the top team in England right now.

Mancini is a very capable manager and has proven it domestically, but the general perception it football circles, particularly in Italy, is that he gets found out in Europe. You can say Dortmund and Real Madrid are top sides, but Ajax made us look foolish and they didn't even impact on the Europa League.

Manchester United will strengthen, Chelsea may well have Mourinho back, Tottenham, Liverpool are coming up strongly and Arsenal are (allegedly) planning heavy reinforcement, I don't think "let's give Bob one last chance" is a chance we can afford.

Mancini has done a good job, but I think with a special manager next season the sky is the limit.

Klopp has proved that he can work and motivate a bunch of real talented young players in a system he has modeled (and do not believe that he has not sorted out a lot of players - he has) - it is something different to work with the type of players Manchester City has.

He did the same in Mainz. He never worked with "stars". Never in a ball possession system - the tactics in Mainz were similar.

The most important thing Heynckes at Bayern Munich makes really fantastic right now is to keep everybody in good mood and to get them working as a team but still caressing the players who need it. E.g. telling a Ribery how great he is but telling him how important it is to work in the defense - and praising him for that very loud. Sure - the quality has improved since last year - especially the bench - and the lack of success modeled everybody together and created a special mentality. But somebody has to be the moderator.

And maybe that is the problem your team has had in the recent two years when meeting other teams in Europe. The sum of individuals only beats a team when they are an amount better - they are in the Premier League. Dortmund - in quality maybe slightly worse but a great teamwork. Real - slightly better in quality with a better team work. Ajax - worse by a margin but a great teamwork. Napoli - quality like Ajax but a strange tactics but a lot a great teamwork. Bayern in 2011/12 - same or slightly better quality but decent teamwork.
