"learn"?!?!?

I think having the biggest transfer budget in the world merits more than a trainee, personally.

Silly comment. He is no trainee. He would however have to be superhuman to possess all the knowledge that Feguson has aquired over more than 20 years in 18 months. As to the transfer budget well I think you´ll find Madrid have spent more than us in the last 2 years. And look where that has got them. Even with your favourite manager at the helm. Speaking of which I reiterate a point I made yesterday that while Jose is a better manager than Mancini he will like Ferguson be remembered not for the trophies but the lack of class he displays when things go against him.

You no doubt couldn´t care less about that. But why is Paisley´s Liverpool team still remembered fondly. The man had a bit of graciousness and humility about him.

And if you really think Mancini should go why not Guardiola? Better football and frankly a better advert for our club than the quickly unravelling Special One.

BOOM!! Great post and as of yet no reply!

who says mancini plays boring football..
We must admit that with big teams mostly away.
But with small teams after mid season he has been playing one of the best play.we have got a game like barca with addition of strength in it.physical aspect.
What is lagging in barca side.we play simple passing football.
In fact i think we play the best football in england.
the team is getting better.its like we are in vertical summit.very near to the peak.with all hard work done

We do not play the best football in England.

We play very well in 20 min spells in matches, at most.

Try telling fans who went to brum at home, arsenal away, Liverpool away, spurs away, utd at home, notts co away, aris at home etc that we play the best football in England

Liverpool at home, Fulham away, WHU away, Sunderland at home, Newcastle away, Villa at home (x2) even manu away we played some good stuff. Some of the football we have played has been sumptuous, some has been okay, some has been iffy and some has been truly awful. Like every other team our performance level varies.

The baseline though has been to be solid and keep it tight which by and large we have as the defensive record shows and will I think prove to be a key foundation of any success we achieve in the future or indeed this season

The 3 performances that disappointed me were Wolves, Kiev and Liverpool away. In each case I felt we went in with the wrong attitude and stunk the place out. Villa away you could probably add to that list but I just put that one down to shit happens as was Everton at home.

Selecting games to either prove Mancini is great or Mancini is shit is a nonsense. The truth as ever lies in the middle. To assert as many do that Mancini serves up a diet of non-stop turgid football is the biggest fallacy of all and one that the media is happy to perpetuate. What Mancini is 'guilty' of is trying to establish controlled football where we get ahead and stay ahead. This can at times look pedestrian but when it works it is glorious to watch. But as Kompany said after the Fulham away match when it did work 'We know we won't get any credit for it'

My view of Mancini has remained largely unchanged since the first few games. Organised, disciplined football at the back where everyone knows their job providing a platform for the guys like Silva and Yaya to do their stuff up top - not my words but Dejong after the Sunderland match.

Mancini is clearly doing what Hughes identified needed to be done but didn't have the skill set to achieve. He is establishing a strong mentality built on hard work, concentration and skill which will bear fruit in seasons to come and (touch wood) this season as well.

On a separate note one thing that has struck me and its whenever Mancini is under the most pressure is when we produce some of our best results and performances. Last season before the Chelsea away match lots of media talk and we win 4-2. This season before Fulham away lots of media speculation following Manu and Birmingham games and we win 4-1. After Liverpool away everyone in meltdown and media caning us/Mancini and we beat Manu in the FA Cup SF. And each time it wasn't just the result but the performance.

Agree with that last bit BK, if we had lost to Fulham away or the semi I think it would have turned some of the supporters against him for good. They were the two key games of the season for me as far as how his job is perceived, and they were two of our best performances.

You can also add the performance and result against West Brom away, a ground we'd hardly won at, when we were coming off the back of three straight defeats.

I am pretty sure he will reply once his thick brain has formulated one. I am also pretty sure that his reply will start along the lines of " PMSL looking at all the attack dogs . PMSL "

It would certainly be interesting to see if Guardiola could cut it in the Prem?

The tippy tappy style of football was in place well before he took the helm, could it be brought to the Prem and would it work?

No one remembers Brian Clough for the trophies he won, honestly get outside lads and get some fresh air.
