A couple of journos on twitter are saying that Mancini is just being polite to our US hosts by saying he is a good player etc.. Think its just SSN blowing everything out of proportion. We have been after much bigger fish than this all summer. But it would hardly be a good PR if he sat there and said he didn't want what is considered to be the USAs best player.

I could see Garry Cook wanting him for marketing reasons. Mancini being polite to the US journo I'm assuming.
If Donovan would sign, he would get homesick very fast if he wasn't playing regularly, and I think at his age he wouldn't get into a situation like that.
