Mancini: Landon Donavon is a possibility for MCFC

A couple of journos on twitter are saying that Mancini is just being polite to our US hosts by saying he is a good player etc.. Think its just SSN blowing everything out of proportion. We have been after much bigger fish than this all summer. But it would hardly be a good PR if he sat there and said he didn't want what is considered to be the USAs best player.

On a side note, Andy Jacobs from Talksport is making some snidey comments about us having so many players so if anyone wants to send him a nice tweet then his tweet name is

Charm..Mancini is brought up in a world where you give compliments to the hosts.

While not a world beating player, he is someone who will sell a lot of shirts in the usa, very much an emerging market,

so while its unlikely to be a mancini specific target its actually a very good one from a marketing stance, and no matter what anyone says, a market breaking signing is A good thing thing for city.

I would agree with this. The American reporters brought up the subject of Donovan, mancini couldnt exactly say "hes good but not good enough for us". Its alot more polite to just say its possible. We dont even have a position on the team for him.

I wouldnt get too wound up about this.

Good god save us.

Not read all of the thread,so do not know if its been said already?

This could be City way of trying to get a foot hold in the USA market.
Donavon is probably one of the best and/or well kown players in the USA.
He is good player and could still get game (Blackpool, West brom, and. so on)
so way not make him are poster boy in the USA.

So maybe its not such a bad idea
