Klopp won't leave Dortmund.

I'd be very disappointed if City didn't at least try to move heaven and earth to convince him to come here.

Mourinho has to be first choice mate, he just has to be.

Like many, no problem with Klopp other than he is untried outside of Germany.

I too like the attitude and performance so far of Laudrup, who has hit the ground running.

he loves to build up his own teams, not to take over a team of stars

He's very young in coaching terms. I don't think anyone outside of his closest family will know how ambitious he actually is. This is what he said last season when linked with the Chelsea and Madrid jobs.

"I can turn them down straight away," he told Sky television after his side's German Cup semi-final victory over Greuther Fürth on Tuesday night. "I will not be moving there. But I do think it is cool that I am being named in the same breath as Mourinho and Guardiola. That is enough for me – that is already a personal triumph but I am not available, sorry."

Plus when you look at what our owners plan to do next with Ferran and Txiki, it's clear they plan to build a team not full of stars, but full of well scouted top young players.

Re: Mancini out?

I think he has to go at the end of the season regardless of achievement, sooner if we can get anyone good in as we're falling apart at the seams. We're not in the driving seat, again. We've fallen very far behind our rivals, again. Relying on a truly epic collapse from them and unprecedented performance from us, again. You can forgive it the one season we won the title, but following season on we're there again but worse. Even with the summer we had, there is more than enough at his disposal to maintain a good title challenge.

If it's true that The Pep is getting a massive (240 million pound?!) war chest, that might weigh heavily on Klopp's mind. If also Lewandowski goes to Bayern, well...

I don't think he's somebody who'd be lying somewhere in depress. Even if they'll sell Lewandowski they'll be able to spend 60M this summer and improve their squad. I'm sure he wants to challenge Pep. It must be a huge motivation for everyone.

Re: Mancini out?

Whats worrying me is if they get that far ahead they could win it at the Swamp against us !!
If thats the case im leaving the country early April for a couple of weeks as we would never hear the end of it

Another reason for him to come to City now...with a likely clear-out in the summer (I think it's going to be a very big cull - six or seven players), he might well get an opportunity to build the roster with a few big name, high-earning holdovers and young purchased talent and Academy youth players. That is what Barca did during the FS/TB era.

Laudrup has impressed me too.
I think he seems destined for a top job somewhere.
As a fairly young manager with no experience at a big club, he is the type of manager you would probably hand the baton onto rather than put him in a hot seat where he is having to fire fight from day one.
Say we won the double and had a brilliant european campaign and Mancini decided himself he wanted to return to Italy for a new challenge, thats when getting a manager like Laudrup or Simeone would suit best, in my opinion.
Where we are at the moment, we must recruit proven quality.

Begiristain 1988–1995 & Laudrup 1989–1994 Barca team mates!

And when I wrote 6 days ago Laudrup will replace Mancini this summer nobody believed me.

And how would you know this?

i really dont get people saying we didnt do wrong selling De Jong and Johnson and it hasn't weakened the squad, if you think Garcia is better than De Jong you are mad and how many points had Johnson earned us this time last year, last year carling cup away to PL team wolves he rested players in came De Jong Johnson we knock 5 past them, this year home to Villa rest players we are out, the squad is miles weaker, what other reason can there be for the position we are in, dont say they have RVP this year he is not affecting how we perform to other teams, that is all down to our players tactics and team spirit.
dont what to see stats and mins on pitch = . this per Fxxkin that, bottom line you play Dzeko over Tevez you are not picking your strongest team, you leave a player like Milner out away to team fighting like mad to avoid relegation and bring in Nasri same applies, Mancini is letting personal issues affect City best possible chances of winning football matches and i as a City fan will call him on that all day.
When i started supporting City thats exactly what i did NOT Mancini its City that matters to me not his grudges, i am firmly of the opinion that all we need in charge is someone who can keep players happy and pick his best team or keep his best team happy
Not sure how many times it's been said on here, but it's plenty; De Jong wanted to leave.

Re: Mancini out?

Not only have we fell behind the rags, points wise, more worryingly we have fell so far behind from a mental point of view and its that, that should worry everyone the most.

All we could do was finish strongly, keep the pressure on and keep them honest but we seem incapable of doing that and its just not good enough.

They can win the league no problems but we should never surrender it!

sure, that is what most City fans would support? Reading the transfer forum on here from time to time i have a different impression
