Bloody hell tolm without question the same person!! Lol I've heard from the arsenal end that van persie is desperate to come and wenger has gone apeshit!!! He certainly won't be allowed to be stubborn as he was with nasri as I've been told its a one chance deal that city have offered. Is that good info or not mate?

Epic end to the epl. What a comeback we had, I almost lost all my hair. The game was legendary.

Anyway back to the transfer talk and planning for next season. Like Mancini said, I agree that we might need 3 or maybe 4 players to progress more. The positions affected are

- Striker
- Wide midfielder
- Central midfielder
(Maybe, maybe backup defender)

So first let’s start with the players to sell.

-Dzeko: Don’t get me wrong, I like this guy and he was DEFINITELY instrumental in helping us clinch the title today. However, he isn’t just cut for the team. He has had it rough trying to replicate the form he had at Wolfsburg. He is probably too much of a one side striker for the team. So it’s best we sell while teams like Juventus, Dortmund and PSG are lurking around.

-Tevez: Well even though his return sparked a return to form for us and he did have a couple of great games when he came back, for the past 2-3 games he isn’t showing anything much. He is getting old, is a prima donna and quite honestly is best we sell him while Milan still want him.

-Adam Johnson: This is one player I definitely want him to stay and I like. However Manicni doesn’t seem to have any confidence in the player and it doesn’t seem like it will change soon. At 25, he needs a team where he will play day in day out especially with his talent. Also considering the fact that the players we are interested in play his position. It seems like the writing is on the wall.

- De Jong: Great player but considering he isn’t willing to extend his contract it will be best to sell him rather then let him go for free. Also he is a bit too defensive for our current team( Not a bad thing) because when Yaya goes out and De jong is on the field he doesn’t really offer anything going forward. He is great at protecting us however. So if he does, extend his contract then maybe he should stay.

Now to the players we should buy.

-Eden Hazard: I mean this is A MUST. If there is one player we should buy it should be him. He will provide the width and the additional goals from the midfield. Be a great replacement for Johnson and in my opinion probably better than Silva, who is really looking lost these days, months. His 17 goals and 15 assists this season with Lille are tremendous. With him and Nasri(or Silva if Silva can come back to his 2011 level) behind the strikers, that should do some more damage.

- Cavani/Falcao/Higuain: If we sell dzeko and tevez, we would need a striker and at the moment these 3 are the best we could buy at the moment. Cavani, I admit have felt is a bit overrated. But stats don’t lie and this season he has scored 23 goals in 33 games (49 goals in 68 games in 2 seasons with Napoli.) league games and a total of 32 goals in 46 games this season. Those stats are pretty ridiculous. The fact that he is tall, runs fast, can play as a winger and has great finishing, will mean we would get a player that has both dzeko and tevez all in one. Don’t forget that Napoli is not in the Champions league next season, so the negotiation could be easier.

Falcao is one of my favorite players in the game and definitely the best poacher in the world now. Great header and finisher, we would definitely give us something which I found Aguero lacked. Would absolutely love to get him, the only obstacle is the 40 million euros Atletico paid to get him.

Higuain: Would be interesting. Very underrated striker, who always scores. Great finisher and has great pace. He would gel at City immediately. Hopefully Mourinho’s comment about worth 150 m euros are false.


-Martinez: We need him and need him bad. One of the most painful things I saw this season is that we are over dependent on Yaya. Way too dependent. Today without him, we almost lost the title. We need to break that. In comes Martinez, a player that can play in the center, as a def midfielder and as a defender. Would solve two problems.

-Guidetti: 20 goals in 23 games. Enough said plus the fact that he is home grown. We need him and he would be perfect with Balotelli, Aguero and the striker we do buy ideally.

- Boyata: we need a backup defender and this season with Bolton he has been pretty decent. Him and Savic would do the trick.


I feel that these transactions could do well to the team to get us much more trophies in the years to come but hey, even if we keep the team as it is it would still be great.

Final thing. Sign Costel Pantilimon permanently and DO NOT SELL savic !

After a season like this - you DONT shake up a roster by selling 5-6 players and bringing in that many more.

You sell what you must/dont use (likes of RSC, Adebayor, Bridge, etc.) and use that money to bring someone to a defficient position (and right now that would be only a third CB and maybe a decent wingman).

Anyone who thinks otherwise hasnt been much involved in sports, probably.
