not bad mate, i'd rather have him that that over rated expensive di maria.
having pato alongside him would be even better.

In hindsight it's clear they might have been a bit premature sacking Hughes but they did. We got to a CC semi-final and were well placed in the league, although there were clear weaknesses in the team.

Mancini has improved some of the failings and has created some of his own but he needs to be given the chance to create the team he wants. It might have been different if Johnson had been fit and Ireland had re-created last season's form and it was also worrying the way we performed against most of the other teams around us. If that's repeated next season then it might be that we made a mistake with Mancini but let's enjoy the summer's transfer dealings and see what happens next season.

As the title says taking a wee bit of a whacking, also saying the charlie nicholas saying city only ever had 1 player in the box on wednesday night and that all our attcks are wing based cos the 2 cm's just hold when the wingers attack, i kinda agree to a certain extent.

Its always easy to criticise after the fact.

Could not possibly agree more. It's too easy too pick holes in what has been a broadly successful season. Yes, there have been problems, pretty much from start to finish, but there were countless wonderful moments as well. More importantly, it's over now, done. No point arguing about who the manager is, he's the best man for the job for a hundred reasons, mostly because he has experience of transforming over unruly, egotistical, over-paid, under-achieving, lop-sided squads. The surgery may be a little painful but it will be exciting as well. He's made mistakes, but who hasn't this season.

The press give him no respect in the same way that they give us no respect. Redknapp and his cronies are the biggest hypocrites going, insinuating that if we do suceed, it will only ever be because of the money. The fucking tabloid Journalists are even worse, dropping hints about supposed clauses in Mancini's contract, always making sure never to give him any credit at all, always making sure they disrespect him in some way or another, egging the owners on to sack him with one side of their mouths, and calling them trigger happy with the other. "They only stuck with him because Mourinho wasn't available" or whatever. "But Mourinho wouldn't join little city anyway har har har". They try to make out City have got a second rate manager and are stuck with him, because City ARE second rate, despite all the money, money can't buy you class. It's obvious. Well dear boys, Bob's got more class in the seams of his jackets than you and all your families put together. If he's second rate then you lot aren't even rateable.

He may only have had qualified success here so far, but that's still more than they give him credit for. As he's here for the duration, how about sticking up for one of our own who doesn't get the respect he deserves from the brit-squad.

Fucking Shreeves, Nicholas, Woolnough, Ollie Kay, bunch of fucking professional no-marks who've achieved absolutely NOTHING compared to Mancini, one of the best players of the last thirty years, who played and continued to improve right until the age of 36. A young manager of 45 with trophies coming out of his ears, being disrespected by that lot, ye gods.

Shreeves is a terminally dire manager who lasts about five minutes in any job he gets, he's unbelievably flakey and weak.

Nicholas is one of the biggest wasters in football history, on a par with Gazza and Collymore, fuck me, he got a grand total of 20 caps for Scotland, and was usurped at Arsenal by Perry Groves.

Woolnough is a pompous prick who writes pure fantasy and guff for a paper even my cats won't shit on.

Ollie Kay is a bitter little twerp who said Paul Ince got sacked because of racism, not because he took over a top half team and was turning them into relegation certs. His comments on the owners and Hughes were about as balanced and reasonable. Him, a little red headed turd writing for a red-top, thinking he can tell Khaldoon and co what's what in the world

They disrespect Mancini because they have zero respect for our club and anything to do with it.

So how about sticking up for someone who Khaldoon made a big point of saying 'has the clubs best interests at heart'.

What do you think that means?

Lets see what his tactics are like with his own choice of player(s).

It's alright mate, don't panic.

Mourinho is lined up to take over soon, and Mancini was only ever a caretaker manager.

FACT.

I'm sure I read it on here...

Premature? 6 months too late IMO. Still better than waiting until end of season to make the change though as he now knows the squad, knows who is up to it and who isn't and therefore we can set at least some of the transfer wheels in motion early.

12 months too late imo, should have been after being beat by WBA in Dec 08 when we went into bottom 3.

Other than that I agree - Bob has at least had 6 months to review squad and see who he wants to keep.
