Mancio to crack the whip?

No because by making the narrative about three or four Bluemoon forum users it deflects neatly away from football - which is sort of the point when you don't yourself believe in the guy you're backing.

I don't think he has a grip. I think it's a matter of who replaces him not if he's to be replaced. No matter how it happened, he seems to have lost the dressing room, and it's unlikely he'll recover it. He can crack the whip or offer sexual favors, but it's in all probability too late for him.

See Lancet? He acts affronted when he feels personally insulted but never refrains himself.

Just to clear things up, I have seen us play live and I've been a City fan for two decades. Well next year it will be a full twenty.

I'd class that as retaliation having had his support of City questioned. I'm not sure how you would expect him to react. You tell anyone on this forum that they don't truly support City and see how they respond. I dare say most would be much more aggressive or nasty than DD. Anyway, I'm sure he doesn't need me to defend him or talk about him as if he isn't here.
I didn't question his support. He supports the club. I simply think he has a blind spot concerning what he thinks as being the only solution. He questioned my support although granted he did attempt cleverness in that he didn't name a name specifically.

You did say you didn't think DD minded City losing which could easily be taken as questioning his support. And the whole exchange was on the back of someone very much questioning his support of the club. Whatever anyone thinks, given the amount of pure shit he gets on here, merely for having a different opinion, I don't think people should complain too much when he fights back.

I have faith in Mancini. And the OP is clearly about our current manager cracking the whip and giving under-performing players a kick up the backside by dropping them for the cup match.

So perhaps we should stay on topic, yes?

Two points.

First, viewing a loss as a temporary setback is natural if you think the club is on the right track, which I believe overall Dave does. We have the infrastructure and the owners to make periods like this not be nearly as devastating to ambitions as they otherwise would be.

Second, I would have more sympathy if he hadn't spent the latter part of the summer blasting people on here for not being good enough supporters for his liking. I used to very much enjoy debating football with him, but he started casting a very wide net a while back. I miss that Dave from before to be honest. He had great contributions.

He says this shite every time we lost a big match, didn't he say he knew the problem after losing against Ajax turned out he didn't have a clue. We will destroy Leeds on Sunday and hopefully there will some light at the end of tunnel this season in the Fa Cup but the damage has already been done in the league.

Considering your one of the main culprits in turning threads about the manager into threads about me and Dave and your personal opinion of us, you'll forgive me if I laugh heartily at that post.

I said earlier in the thread, he comes out with the same stuff contantly. He never says anything of substance. "We need to work 'ard. It is importante to score more goals. This is football" and then nothing changes in the next game.

It just doesn't comes across as a man with answers. And when a manager starts lambasting his playing staff publicly it is nearly always the end of the line for him.

Of course we will beat Leeds, but that shouldn't paper over the cracks.
