If we sack him we need a good replacement.

Nobody is available.

I'd do it for a bottle of Jack and a fish supper on a Friday. Pretty sure I could do as well as this season!
because of fair play, you will have to settle for white lighting and a mcdons im affraid

Always a fucking negotiation.

How about a bag of Twiglets and a Curly Wurly?

The guy needs sacking, shit signings, shit tactics. Said last season he wasnt good enough but got out of jail by the scousers fucking it up.
Jog on.

Jog on? The lads spot on IMO. Tactically inept. We play without shape or pace. He nearly cost us Sunday. Looks like he's lost the players to me they look pissed off

Spot on Len.

first it was Mancinis fault, now it's Pellers fault.

Those on the current witch hunt need to look elsewhere for a few to tie to the stake.
Starting with Clichy and Navas

Re: Manuel Pellegrini

Not sure what he could have done tonight. Selection was ok (again Jovetic playing a bit too far forward for my liking), can't argue with any of the subs. But when your players play that badly I don't think you can do much. You could argue that the managers job is to get the players playing well but I don't think you can read too much into one off performances.

I hope the pressure doesn't start to stoke up (from fans and media), it doesn't do us any favours

Sometimes when you get yourselves into the position we have, getting out of it can have a better effect than just cruising, especially if it finally helps the fucking penny drop that we should be smacking these teams about like Bayern and Madrid do. We need an emphatic victory.

Regardless, the formation tonight isn't going to matter, the players have to do their job. Whoever we send out should be able to beat CSKA playing 4-4-2, 4-5-1, 4-4-1-1, 4-3-3, whatever. I'm not about to come on here slamming Pellegrini for playing 2 up top if yet again players fail to press together, defend together and play with confidence. Pellegrini can only send them onto the pitch, he can't kick the ball for them.

May as well just quote my post as nothing has changed. Some of you need to stop thinking we can just swap the manager when the same issues are presenting themselves and start re-evaluating some of these so called 'world class' players in our squad.

We get Pep in, he does the double in his first season, maybe the FA Cup instead this time - Still crap out around January, make a right fucking meal of it, nearly piss it away, struggle away from home and in Europe, but next season will be better because the players promise 'we won't make the same mistake, we're hungry, we're going to build on this, win the league with games to spare'..

Next season rolls around, everyone starts mailing it in again. Still poor away from home, still crap out in January, still shit in Europe and limp to the end where we'll still get into the CL places because the league really isn't as difficult as Sky say it is.

Are we going to have to see the same thing under a coach like Pep Guardiola or Carlo Ancelotti to recognise that maybe some of these players aren't as good, either mentally or technically, as we think they are?

Well what a surprise that was. 2 central midfielders, we get countered staggeringly easily. Lucky to go in one behind. Switch to 3 central midfielders don't concede a chance and start to control proceedings. Switch back to 2, fucking chaos yellow cards flying everywhere because of a lack of cover.

It's not fucking rocket science.

Exactly. No point in playing 2 up when all of our team have attacking mentality and can score stunning goals. Better control the f***en midfield and close the door on the counter. Its so simple.

Players take a huge deal of the blame. All these problems have been discussed over and over again. Let me list a few:

1. Obvious 442 formation. So easy to plan against City now a days.
2. Rubbsih Mid-field deployment.
3. Very f***en relaxed, the players fall asleep on the pitch.
4. Rubbish Corners issue not addressed.
5. Seems to pick the wrong team then waste subs to change it.
6. And when 5 happens, his change is done way too late- tonight was a shocking exception. AND WE DOMINATED with 451 till he sprung back to 442.
7. Starting Navas nearly every possible chance. He's uni-dimensional and is a solution for width, not a starter.
8. Pelle's signings are mostly garbage when you compare it to Mancini's. We are still relaying heavily on Mancini's signings, aside from 'dihnio.
9. He's taken a team strong in defense and turned us into a joke at the back. All teams play us and win on the counter and he just can't see it.

Now of course the players are going to play shit if you pick the same bloody formation and keep on losing, their confidence WILL slowly disappears!

Well, yeah, that's generally the way it works; managers responsible for the overall performances of the team. I'm sure nothing will change during the season as long as we remain in the top 4 and look like making it again his year, but he may well go at the end of the season, but for me it all depends on who is available. Winning 2 of the 4 trophies last year has to count for something!
If we do change I'm comfortable with that - many top teams don't keep their managers that long; IIRC wasn't Pellegrinis contract only short term anyway (2 / 3 years)??
