Sterling already showed what he can do during the 13/14 season with Liverpool. Hart never showed anything close to resembling a decent passing skill or the composure of having the ball at his feet.

Yeah that's pretty much how I see it. As much of a shame as it will be if it happens this summer or next summer, I'm almost certain that it's going to happen. Joe has lots of top drawer characteristics as a keeper but in terms of being part of the footballing build up, that isn't his strength and that's probably one of the core strengths that you need to be a keeper in Pep's system.

And not having a keeper who can play on the ball would be the most drastic change Pep has ever made. It would mean changing everything, from the way his teams build up, to how they defend. It would stop him using a high line, it would stop him from having an intense press. Most of the things that are signatures of guardiola sides would have to go.

Can you provide some recent sources linking Barcelona to these 20 goal keepers you speak of?

Heavily linked with Diego Alves? That would mean my google search should automatically link me to several stories right on the firs page. I did find one article by yahoo sports on the second page though. Shows them to be heavily linked.

I'm sure Hart will be no.1 this season and is not incapable of passing the ball. Pep will adapt and Joe will adapt and they will meet half way. You will see.

Apart from everything else, you actually think Joe Hart will be playing at the top level when he's 37-40?

Joe might be first choice this season if we fail in the transfermarket. He'll be gone in a year though, when Pep has time to find a keeper who can do what he wants.
