£20m for potential competition (unless I've not read anywhere that states differently for the fee)!

It'd make the £6m on Cabarello seem reasonable. Either bring him in to replace for that kind of money, or invest it in a bloody decent left back/right back/uncrocked centre back/centre midfielder/decent winger or back up striker. Everywhere that pressingly needs addressing.

Do you honestly think £20 m is going to affect who we buy? We probably have a CB in Laporte and definitely a cm in Gundogan.

I can't wrap my head around this line of thinking. The money is unimportant. If we buy him it's not going to be instead of strengthening other areas.
We are going to need another keeper in the summer so what do we do? A quality replacement for Caballero who can give Hart a run for his money or someone like Caballero who is never going to be first choice and not quite good enough unless it's the league cup?

The home grown thing really isn't all that important now. After next season Denayer will be HG, and Iheanacho will follow, as will any academy players Pep brings through while he's here.

Hart isn't better than I think. You only need to look at the man when he has possession of the ball to see he's not comfortable.

And he's not short of options in 80% of the time he receives the ball in open play. He might not have the 3 or 4 that Pep will offer the goalkeeper but he always has a couple - the centrebacks always split and find space to receive when the ball goes back to him.

You are absolutely deluded if you think Joe hart can play in Pep's system right now. Best case scenario is he works incredibly hard and becomes good enough that his other attributes and standing at the club are enough to retain his place.

Your affection toward a player who has been here 9 years and served us well is making you completely blind to seeing that he simply doesn't have that part of the game and never has - as others pointed out it nearly cost him his place before.

Delusional. There is pretty much zero movement to get into space by City players this season. As is thinking a player that want's to leave Barca is actually any good - if he was any good he wouldn't be wanting to move on.
Far more important things to sort out in the team before getting round to Hart.

So you think because he wants to leave Barcelona he can't be any good?

That sentence might as well be you writing "IM AN IDIOT" on your forehead in bright red permanent marker.
