The prices are crazy but there is still great value and we have been incredibly lucky or more rightly smart in the players we have bought.

My issue is when your spending 100m on a player, they have to succeed and as said previously, the mental effect of those type of fee's is enormous and again as we have seen, not many of the huge transfers have been successful.
Still think Jack has the character/belief not to be weighed down by it.

Proof will be in the pudding next season, as long as he keeps improving game by game I don’t think he’ll do too badly.

With the squad refresh on the go next season promises to be hugely exciting

It's the fan expectation that want to succed, club expectation especially our manager may see things differently.

If the player produces week in week out I totally agree and hopefully this will be the case with Grealish this season.

Don't know it seems Pep satisfied with Grealish contribution last season, he really doesn't give a damn what anyone thinks as long Grealish plays the role he expect him to be then he already satisfied and will keep playing him when he need him to be.

City saying no to PSG for a deal involving Neymar and Bernie tells us that we'll find a way to say no to Barca if they come for Bernie. If Barca are ready to pay 70m, we'll want 80m, and so on.

He at this stage of Jack's career not going to say any other in public is he!

Sorry, but I wholeheartedly disagree. Sterling & Jesus forced our hands by not signing extensions, but with Torres also leaving, I get the feeling that this squad has gone as far as they can take us, & to remain ahead of the chasing PL pack & to land the elusive Champions League title, we need to move on, freshen up & improve our squad.

I honestly believe Zinchenko leaving for more regular football, with Cucu & one of Raum & Sosa arriving for a net spend of circa £60m, we'll be far far stronger in the tighter games against the Dippers, Chavs, Real & PSG etc.

Those fine margins will make all the difference in the biggest matches where victory means we're a step closer to silverware.
I am sure that Pep would have wanted Jesus to sign an extension but also respected he wanted regular starts. Bit of a strange one as didn't Jesus says he preferred to be a wide player.

Sterling I think it is likely both parties were ready for a change and we got good money for both.

There would have been limited playing time or prevented the purchases of Alvarez and Haaland if they had stayed as for Torres he wasn't and isn't good enough for the level we play at.

We were literally a kick off the line away from a CL final and that was bad luck as we easily deserved to win a game we dominated. It was just the year that Real Madrid had a lot of luck, given Chelsea deserved to beat them as well

I agree Cucurella is an upgrade but highly doubt any of the other two will join even if Zinchenko leaves.

What if our manager is genuine for his answer regarding Grealish? thing is we really don't know anything about our manager thought.

But i can say with 100% confidence that he doesn't really give a f what anyone thinks, like i said before he will play Grealish and expect him to play his role to the best. If he thinks that Grealish performance is good even without goal and assist then that's already enough for Pep.

What I do know is the fact that at the vital games end of season Grealish spent a lot of time on the bench, that's a fact, just as it was for Ake.
