Per the transfer guru, the hair is getting himself a six-year contract. Kudos to him and his agent.

I wanted City to sign him but it's not to be. People will still be saying "should have got Cucurella" when Salah or some other bugger (Sterling?!) causes havoc on City's left side in the CL final.

I find it infuriating that we are the bad guys when we buy a few players, but Chelsea just get a free ride. They spent 97m on a striker last summer who they've loaned out this season. I'd bet that them and Arsenal have spent more than us in the last 3 or 4 windows. Really pisses me off.
Scary when a lot of posters on here wanted that 97m lump in sky blue last summer!

Think some are reading touch much into not getting cucarella as him being the be all and end all...yes he was a good shout as a LB and I too would have been happy for the club to acquire him. But fuck me he wasnt anywhere near worth £50m+, and the club rightly walked away if they deemed him over priced.

And to be honest prior to the news breaking we were in for him, he wasn't on my radar as a LB option

There will be alternatives out there, we just have to make sure the right one is identified and bring him in

Who knew that all our titles were down to a player who only played 15 games a season for us, I wonder if we could use the 100 million to try and get zinch back, otherwise it's hardly worth bothering turning up on sunday
Not just zinny but a left footbed full back. There’s just some games where it’s needed. He turned our champions league on its head coming on at PSG when losing and got us in the final. He turned the Villa game too. That balance is massively underestimated on here.

Brighton are one of quite small number of clubs that I really dislike. They bring almost nothing to the Premier League and are by no means a permanent fixture. There are plenty of more historic & meaningful clubs in the Championship that I'd rather see in the PL than Brighton.
A bit harsh. They at least try and play decent football and certainly are worthy of their place in the PL. Let's not fall into the trap that somehow 'historic' teams deserve it more than smaller, less successful teams.

Just a personal opinion mate, they do nowt for me. Just another bunch of whingeing southern wankers...

Strange take.

On the whole they play good football and their fans aren’t a load of deluded nasty thugs like a number of other clubs I could mention.

I’d much rather have Brighton in the Prem than Burnley.
