Have you seen the state of Brighton’s finishing? Think the season before last they would have been fifth if they matched their expected goals

I know but this season haven't they actually outperformed their xG? which is why they finished quite high up the league.

Not sure tbh, seem to remember they had quite a long goalless run mid season before ending with a flurry of decent results
Sending Delap on loan as part of the deal wouldn’t be the worst idea though they have also just splashed out on a teenage striker from Peru, who would presumably be above a loan player in their pecking order
They also have long standing interest in McAtee
 
Perhaps I might have missed it, but haven’t seen any other PL club heavily linked with him, which is a good indication that other clubs aren’t wasting their time trying to buy the Cuc under our noses.

Like many on here I think it will get done when the 2 clubs come to an agreement on the transfer fee. There won’t be a problem with Cuc and his wage demands. This is all but done, bar the transfer fee Haggling.

Chelsea linked/wanted him, Cucurella only wants City according to the article.

I saw the links, but why would Chelsea want another left back just 2 years after spending a fortune on Ben Chilwell? Unless they don't expect him to recover from his injuries.
 
Do not have a problem with this player obviously good, but with Zinchenko ,Cancelo ,Ake and Laporte all capable one has to go before we buy, most likely Zinchenko, the right back position is more in need, Walker, Cancelo and Stones, one is starting to show signs of age, Stones gets injured looking at the left winger and Cancelo is better on the left than Cucurella.
Now i am not ruling out the possibility of signing James, Spence would be decent as a back up, even Kabore would, be cheap with good prospects but we need a right back more.
 
Always seems we get held to ransom by some clubs Brighton apparently wanting £50 mill plus yet surprisingly sell bissouma to spurs for around £25mill without a problem which seems low ..

Apples and oranges, not to mention that just because they want £50mill doesn't mean they're getting it. Wasn't Mane supposed to be going for £43mill which turned out nowhere near the mark on the same day he signed?
