March for the Alternative-26th March

I find it utterly incredulous that Blair has got away with absolutely no responsibility for our current predicament. He's swanning around the globe earning millions (yep, millions......Tory toffs eh?), with that horrible smug grin on his face. All you union guys should hang your heads in shame at the fact you supported this 'toff' for years, but because he wore a red ribbon you thought he was one of you. Stop blaming the Tories and start looking at that shower who you lot financialy support.

A bit of sense at last!

I heartily applaud all who are travelling - at their own expense - and marching to protest against something they are politically opposed to.

I'd like to ask all on here who are backing this non-elected Government and placing the blame upon the previous elected Government - considering your very apparent and genuine ire towards Blair and Labour...did you yourselves go into the streets and protest? Or did you merely sit and grumble about it on the internet?

Because if its the former you really havent got the right to belittle these BM posters who are walking the walk and not just talking the talk.

no , I went to work, unlike 100% of the people going on this march who will be carrying socialist workers against cuts banners

You on your lunch break now?

Ever considered that these guys are taking a day off work and instead of spending it sitting on their arses playing Call of Duty in their pants they're standing up for something they believe in?

I don't particularly care what he's earning, I was just using it as a point to all those who come on here slagging off the Tories as 'toffs' but who were happy to vote for someone who is a toff himself. Furthermore, if they are members of a union, they were financially backing the tosser as well. I just see it as hypocritical.

Attaching words to something or someone doesn't make it true no matter how many times you repeat them. He worked his way to the top of the Labour party. Got elected as leader in a democratic party election. Got elected by two landslides by putting together a popular policy programme, and held on in 2005 despite the Iraq war denting his popularity. He aged severely over those ten years. It's a very stressful job and it's poorly paid comparatively. His well-paid tours on the lecture circuit, his consultancy work, work as an envoy, are his reimbursement for that. He's earned it. Why does that bother you? Surely we should be praising a wealth creator like Tony?

The public sector has been a black hole for years, a culture of doing no work for as much money as possible.

When you understand what the word toff means maybe you'll contribute intelligently. Having money doesn't make you a toff. David Cameron with his royal connections, which he has used, is.
