Have I missed something regarding Lescott?

That's twice people have said he's off

it just seems inevitable with that he wants first team football and us shifting high earners. I'd like him to stay but it seems like he is moving on.

Where's he said he wants first team football? Plus he'll play a good chunk of the 55 games with us anyway.

If he stays he'll end up playing quite a lot imo.

If we somehow get Marquinhos over Barcelona we would easily have the best young central defenders in the world in Nastasic and Marcos. Perhaps we would have had more chance if Mancini was still here, but anyway, we have Kompany.

If we sell Lescott, surely we need to be looking at signing another home grown player at some point? Personally, i hope we sell Kolarov and sign Luke Shaw or Ben Davies to replace him.

We have Wright, Hart, Richards, Lescott, Barry, Milner, Sinclair, Guidetti... but Sinclair and Lescott will probably be leaving, and Barry is nearing the end of his career.

Rodwell and Clichy too, we could lose 3 no problem and just have a 24 man squad.

Ah yes, i forgot about Rodders, and didn't realise Clichy was home grown. Does Hart count as club trained? (We need 4 of them) Or did we not sign him young enough for that? Do we only have Richards and Guidetti as club-trained home grown players in our senior squad? If so, that puts us at a disadvantage as we are going to have to sacrifice two experienced foreigners for Razak and Rekik, for example.

Yep, solid defender who played in 28 games last season and a big part of the best defence in the league the past 3 seasons.

No, we have already signed another CB that plays his position. Novaretti is a LCB. We now have three (plus Rekik waiting in the wings makes four). Overkill, no?
