Strange to think there were people saying in the pre match thread that they weren't looking forward to the match.

You're never going to get it up to 100 pages, there's hundreds missing from this thread because we won, you'll never suck them into it.

The fact we started with Foden, Torres and no Garcia, which was the consensus before the West Ham game, is a reason why we will save at least 30 pages tonight!

This is the main thing for me. I know this isn't a new take but we've been so slow recently.

Tempo is the key, we seem to over complicate most of the time. Quick clean balls into the box is the way to play football. Just look at our 3 goals tonight. I realize you have to be cagey against top teams but v teams like this and most of the PL sides play like 2012. Remember that pass from Silva to Dzeko 6/1. Lovely jubley.

I liked the starting 11 and it played how I wanted it to, a lot of pressing and movement all over the pitch. Could have perhaps had Bernardo in for Gundo but we need to get some fitness in the legs for both players and Gundo bagged a crucial goal so fair play to him.

Torres deserves a start at the weekend unless we are planning on Delap up top with Sterling and Foden on either side.

Nice to see a back 4 look comfortable on the pitch bar a couple moments but no team is dominant for 90mins.

So much better when we have the best wing setup. Sterling the right and Torres left is the way to start a match. Run teams ragged for 60/70 mins, then people like mahrez to pick apart tired defenses.

So much better when we start with some speed up top.

And foden gives so much more life to everything. His move leading up to the first goal was smart and incisive - and attacking. We need more of that always.

Going back (again) to 2012, we had 4 top class strikers to call upon. Just Incase you need reminding, Sergio, Balo, Tevez and Big Ed. Not taking away from tonight’s performance but we need to sign an out and out goal poacher.
