Great game from Demichelis. Big header in the second goal. He's played under Pellegrini in River Plate and in Malaga; he definitely knows the boss and has his trust. He may not be the quickest player, but he certainly is a solid center back who played very well with Malaga last year reaching QF of the UCL.

Was excellent today.
Very commanding presence, brilliant on corners and set pieces and very adept at 'moving out' with the ball and starting attacks.
Shits on Lescott and will be a great mentor for both Vinny and Nasty.

Someone needs to tell him to stop getting so tight at times, he did it numerous times today and never got the ball taking himself out the game. For their 1st goal I dont know what he was doing in front of Kompany. Needs to relax a little otherwise he is doing well.

He is right in what he said, looks at the clips which were shone. Needs to stay a bit more disciplined if he does what he did today against suarez then I think he could put alot more pressure on the rest of the defence. You pick and choose when to go tight, he goes tight every game and he does not win the ball most of the times. Its a high risk tactic which isn't the best to use in away games.

Hansen has a fair point, Demichelis does get taken out the game too often. Happy with him carrying the ball forward and ideal for us when we're in control (i.e. not away from home) and he's a decent stopgap, but he's not as good as we're all making out
The best example was when him and Yaya were next to each other - no need for him to be trying to intercept when Yaya is there and as a result Yaya's miscontrol took them both out the game.
