Well at the risk of bringing the collective ire of the Forum down on me, I'd say Hull can count themselves bloody unlucky not to be a goal or two to the good at half-time.

And just why Spurs sold Tom Huddlestone will forever remain a mystery to me - there's very few who can ping a ball around as well as he can.

Having said that, I feel it's inevitable that City's class will tell and they should end-up with all three points.

They'd have to hit the target first, something they've failed to do so far. We on the other hand are playing fucking shit and their keeper has made two good saves.

A lot of people might disagree. But I think Huddlestone is a very good footballer

Huddlestone is an above average PL player who is being made to look like a world beater by our bloody awful midfield performance.

Huddlestone is one of the most technically gifted English players. Understated all his career.

Tactically clueless first half.

Something is wrong with yaya, he seems in very bad condition.

Aguero should not have started this match. He has been all over the place.

The manager really needs to start managing the team.

We should improve in the second half but I expect some substitutions.

One of the best long range passers in the league

After the pre-season, I was really hopeful that Dzeko was only shit last season because of Mancini and would come good this season.

I imagined Navas would be powering in loads of crosses for Dzeko to get on the end of, but I must be deluded - Dzeko doesn't work off the ball, has a terrible first touch and looks disinterested. I think we'll be a lot better when we don't have to have him, Lescott and Kolarov playing regularly.

If u seriously think u can try and blame the teams woes on him this game. then change sports now.

Bad performance but lucky not to be conceding. Hopefully MP brings on an extra midfielder, Rodwell please. That'll tighten up the midfield as it is looking very disjointed.

I don't understand some of the comments regarding MP/Ferna, but I suppose those are just fickle fans. I understand this isn't Ferna's best game but he's only played two games (three soon..), in a new league..etc. Some people were saying he was money well spent after the Newcastle game.

No excuses, that was a very poor half.

But there are two main reasons for that other than generally low quality performances:

1. We are dramatically unbalanced toward the right as Kolarov is offering nothing but foosball on the left.

2. We are far too rigid and are afraid to make interchanging runs. Silva, Navas, and Agüero are spending far too much time occupying the same areas.

Until these two things are addressed we are going to have trouble against lower opposition and will lose against higher quality opponents.

Kolarov needs to come off for Clichy and Fernandinho needs to come off for Milner (just to prevent a sending off). If we are still struggling Dzeko needs to come off for Negredo and Milner needs to go back as an out-and-out DM and let Yaya run forward.

We have to get something out of this match.

I understand that a new manager with new ideas will take time to get his team playing the way he wants.

The Newcastle game wasn't a clear indication on where we actually are as a team. Cardiff and Hull (two teams who we should put to the sword) have both made us look mediocre at best!

Kompany is a huge miss but that isn't the whole problem. I hope to god we are bringing in at least one more CB, Lescott scares the absolute shit out of me!

The person we actually missing the most is Barry in my opinion.
He isn't a world beater and certain games he isn't suited anymore but Barry always wants the ball and dictates the pace of our play.
Fernandinho is class but he clearly is going to take time to adjust to our league.
