Media bias against City

I thought the Sky match coverage was ok today for a change - Terry Gibson as the co-commentator was very complimentary about the youngsters, as if his brief spell at the rags didn't affect him too much! Having a former blue in the studio - Andy Hinchcliffe - helped as well.
I thought that Hinchcliffe was ok. Had just commented to my better half that 'at least they have an ex city player involved' when he says 'Mangala was extremely poor last season' Spat my tea out at that one. FFS even ex City players have a biased view!!

Interesting that Sky's viewing figures for the CL were apparently well down (by 38%) over the last five seasons. Last season saw the rags not in the competition and Liverpool not in it the few seasons before last.

That's quite interesting as it strongly suggests viewing figures are heavily linked to the participation & success of English clubs, particularly the rags and Liverpool.

Now normally you'd expect Sky to big up those two and have a huge commercial interest in doing their best to make sure both those clubs got to and did well in the CL.

But with BT taking over the coverage, you'd imagine Sky would be more interested in screwing BT over and ensuring (as far as it could) that neither got to the group stages if possible.

Be interesting to see just how many dodgy decisions go against those two clubs this season.

Would be hilarious if the rags dont get through the CL play off

Thank goodness it wasnt just me covered in Tea. Really stuck the knife in to Mangala this morning which just seemed so behind the times, especially after the run of brilliant games he had partnering Demichelis at the end of the season.

Regardless of him being an ex blue Hinchcliffe does alright as a commentator/pundit , usually does games outside of the prem and is insightful and impartial unlike the ex rag and griever pundits

Could be worse, could've been Danny Mills, in with Didi Hamman and Niall Quinn! that would be the Sky dream ex-City line up, taking turns to put the boot in, slag us off etc!!!

What is up with those ex-blue players relishing in hate for their old employer? Here in Norway we have Trevor Morley weekly bashing us like he gets some bonus for it. But then Uwe shows up once in a while and things are put back in their rightful place. There's one man who still loves the club and the fans.

Not a media bias as such, but noticed Sky posted a leaflet through my door about 3/4 weeks ago offering.... LFC TV! Noticed the amount of Sky Sports coverage using LFCTV has ramped up too like "here's Milner playing cricket" etc... Big push by both so definitely a deal been done between the two. Hence why we didn't get much praise or time on the signing. If it was the other way around, they'd have every ex-player on the box!

What is it with Quinn? He needs totake his face for a shit. Can't stand him now.

I know what you mean. Has there ever been a player that has had such strong support from the fans, even voted a club legend, yet still after all this time holds a grudge.

Get over it man, go and shag one of your horses, the release will do you good.

In fact go and shag Muppet Quinn then you can have Quinn babies and don't have to bother about a civiil partnership whilst circle wanking over your nags.

They are not to be mentioned, but then again who are their owners?
Why don't you educate us all as to who these mythical "Jews who control the media" are?

As far as I can tell, of the red-tops, The Sun is owned by Rupert Murdoch, who isn't Jewish. The Mail & Mirror are publicly quoted companies. The Expreess & Star are owned by a Jewish proprietor but have the lowest circulation of all the red-tops.

And while we're at it, The Times is Murdoch again, The Telegraph is the Barclay brothers and the Guardian is owned by a trust. Not many Jews there.

But tell me different if I'm wrong. Instead of your mealy-mouthed, thinly veiled anti-semitic insinuations, either put up or shut up.

Just discovered The Guardian have now followed the Daily Telegraph and will not allow the word the "rags" to be used in their football comments section.
They continually harp on about history but this era of their history has been deleted.

I may have jumped the gun with this, I've since been back on the Guardian and posted "rags"and all seems ok now.
