So now the Mirror's legal team has threatened Ric we can't even paste the vitriol here. It has to be a link which will generate ad revenue for them. Maybe the title should be changed back to agenda.
 
The club really need to get a grip of this. Ban them from pressers, match days whatever it takes for them to start to show us some respect.

Fergie had it bang on with the media and as much as it pains me to say it we need to employ similar tactics from here on in, any outlet or reporter trying to undermine us.

We as a club are far too soft with the media.

A 300 page thread on the media kind of works against what we're trying to achieve here? They must have had more clicks as a result of posts on here and are probably happy the thread exists.

Maybe the best way forward, as the club does, is to just totally ignore the fools, make them an irrelevance to us. The email Ric received provides the perfect opportunity to do that so I won't be posting on this thread anymore.

Headline news on website sports pages as well as back pages of all the newspapers that you probably detest. Almost all negative, maybe, but giving the likes of Etihad Airways the type of publicity that they could only have dreamed of ten years ago.

Now you are boycotting parts of Ric's site. That'll teach 'em!

We should just ban them and close the press box.
No other club has to put up with relentless crap like this. And make no mistake, it IS incitement. Do you honestly think Sterling and his family would have received death threats and racist abuse, along with being booed if the media hadn't fanned the flames?
Certainly not to the extent it has anyway.
 
For them to even give us an even break let alone be pro-City will take years, I'm with the poster above, fuck them all off.

Watched the game today on a sky stream as Hinchy was on it, the commentary was dreadful, you'd think they were on Real's side.

Back to watching away games on foreign streams from now on.

The thing that pissed me off today is how Sky made such a big deal that it wasn't a penalty while ignoring the earlier stonewall one on Yaya that wasn't given.

Agree with this.

To be fair they are trying desperately to change to a digital newspaper before the online revolution defeats them and redundancies become inevitable.
Coleridge mentioned the FT who despite having a majority of paying online customers rather than paper sales felt that they still needed to sell the FT to a specialist digital media company to continue to compete with this overwhelming change.

We have a choice, either ignore the paper or click to view it whilst it is still free. Either way we are witnessing why the media prefers to skew its articles to suit its major customers.
 
The coverage for the Real Madrid game today was very strange.

It was unusual for the coverage to be so anti-City in 2015, I didn't think the coverage of City was bad at all last season.
 
The constant booing of Sterling whenever he touched the ball in a game in Australia is proof positive that media bias or agenda, call it what you will, has gone global in its aim to create a shit storm of hatred towards us that would - and could - never happen with any other club.

It was evident to me after the booing in Ireland that it would become a fad, be interesting to see how many prem grounds will also give him the treatment.
 
Anyone who says any publicity is good publicity needs to give their head a wobble.
Did the rags think it was good when shaky bob got caught selling tickets?
What about giggs knobbing his sister in law?
Edwards spying on women having a piss?
Did they fuck think it was beneficial.
Giving chilean miners a tour of the sty is the kind of thing they want.
Turning the other cheek is seen as a sign of weakness to the gutter press and other low brow media outlets.
FFS, City have regenerated a whole part of the area and created jobs and facilities for young people. They don't give a flying fuck about stuff like that. They want to turn us into lepers of the football world.
 
These wankers should be made to feel worried about turning up at the etihad after the incessant vitriol they spew. I'm sure we could make a list of which of the shysters would sound and look better with a broken jaw. Sure they would also appreciate a few skips and dozens of ornaments from their shitty Sunday supplements as well.

I mean, if somebody spread loads of offensive lies about your family, you wouldn't them them mince into your house for Christmas dinner...time to hit back at these individuals.
