A lot of that was to do with bringing Vieira on in the second half to keep the ball and shut the game down.That was a pretty amazing change in no time at all. For a couple of years you really felt that if City went 1 up, they would win the game. That was an unusual and unexpected feeling .....

I know, hence why I wrote - Robinho was also signed under his tenure but he was an ADUG signing as a statement of intent.Hughes didn’t have any say about the Robinho signing.
