Well done. I hope it elicits, at least, some form of response from those who oversee our venal, partial UK sports media (but I won't hold my breath..)

Here's another example, from the back end of last season. I travel to games by train nowadays and often meet up with a local friend and his grown up son who are season ticket holders too. On the way to a match last Spring and wearing their City shirts and scarves, as they approached our station a passing car had its window wound down and the insults 'F**king Blue cheats' and 'F**king Oil Money cheats' were shouted at them.

Both my friend and his son stopped to have a look. This was the signal for the car to stop (on double yellow lines and with other traffic about) with the driver getting out to harangue and even threaten them further.

At this point, my 6ft 4ins pal took out his Police warrant card to tell the herbert concerned to move on, while his even bigger son suggested the same only in slightly more colourful terms. Whether it was the sight of warrant card or the realisation that here were two hefty, handy lads I cannot say but said herbert beat a hasty retreat and continued on to do his shopping or whatever.

The point being as you/Damocles say, this sort of thing is becoming more and more commonplace and its root is, most definitely, to be found in the toxic lies, half-truths and misleading statements made by such as Delaney, Roan, Syed, Harris and so on and so on for decades now, together with the organisations which employ them to spout their ill-informed bile. Who knows what dreadful incident might befall some innocent person as a result of this kind of behaviour being fomented by the media?

They ought to be ashamed of themselves..
I've just been thinking, following an email from the FSA which links to the annual report of the Independent Football Ombudsman. They deal with referrals after the complaint has been dealt with by the body the complaint was directed at, usually a club.

I think we should formally complain to the FWA about the way our fans are directly and indirectly impacted by grossly irresponsible and often quite vindictive reporting of the various financial and legal issues impacting the club. And if we get no joy, we should go to the IFO.

Manchester City could move for 26-year-old Sporting Lisbon and Sweden striker Viktor Gyokeres, if Barcelona are able to lure 24-year-old Norway forward Erling Haaland from Etihad Stadium. (Football 365)

On the BBC rumours page

Fucking idiots lol
Bbc rumours page lol..........the only rumours that ended up to be true were about various pedos in their employment.

Just listened to part of the latest Guardian podcast. What a poisonous bunch of cunts. I had to turn it off, for the sake of my blood pressure.

If you consider that the Guardian and MUEN are/were both Manchester publications it's disgusting what they spew out for journalism now.

all for defending the club but I would find gay rights in Abu Dhabi a bit of a tough one to defend if I’m honest.

Not that I’m sure it’s particularly directly relevant to City or a discussion about football financing to be fair.
It really isn’t relevant but this is the levels they go to having run out of options. His comment was you get stoned for being gay in AD which is patently nonsense.

I pointed out that this is more likely in Saudi which is where their longest standing sponsors are from.

It would be like dismissing American owners because the Americans still have the death penalty, hell even Japan and China. As long as a club adheres to the laws of the country they do business with it should be all well and good.

That Glendenning twat saying he was hoping we'd lose every legal case, and that we'd go out of business. These bloody Irish gobshites.

;-)
Isn't Glendenning the Pervy Sunderland fan ?
Is he hoping that they get the 2014 League Cup, by default ?
He is as smug, arrogant and jealous as the rest of the Guardian Gang.
Shame he looks like fat Eddie out of "Early Doors"...

I dont watch the BBC and others now in general as the bias from left and right is shocking, try to pick up what I can whilst not being indoctrinated but very difficult.

Up until this week I did visit the BBC website but after this week I honestly feel they are not fit for purpose so I wonder does anyone have a good website link for keeping updated on transfers in the UK and Europe?

I use the one football app it's decent enough, not many opinion pieces on there, you can 'follow' City and only see news for us.
