Media persecution of Raheem Sterling

With regards to the football league following England fans, this is why we need a better Sterling chant than top of the league, they are lazy and they are very easily led. Alot of them aren't even watching the game and are more concerned with joining in the songs, waving at each other, getting drunk and throwing paper planes about.

Top of the league is not something that has a chance of catching on with the neutrals who have also had enough of the singling out of Sterling. He might not think he needs it but if he heard his own song being sang in a good spell instead of the moronic boos he might just start looking more like he does in a City shirt. Not that he's been bad for England but he's just got to leave them with no other choice than to give him his dues.

oh Raheem Sterling, left the Scousers to win the league.
Honours his dad with a tattoo of a gun,
Shops at Primark, buys houses for his mum,
oh Raheem Sterling, left the Scousers to win the league.

Have a bad feeling that if Rashford starts over Sterling in world cup and it wouldnt be a huge surprise, it would be another huge blow to his already quite weak mentality.I really hope he does a good world cup and makes a step forward this summer, specially with his finishing.

Weak mentality? I would say he gas a bloody strong mentality, given what he has had to put up with.

Weak menatlity? That must have been what stopped him scoring all them late goals in games where we were up against it last seaaon.

Hoddle has been peddaling the idea that Rashford should start over Sterling (or that Sterling shouldn't start at all irrespective) for weeks now, & used his position on tv to push this cause further last night, followed by the other muppets, brainwashing people into thinking the performance of Rashford was something special & questioning Raheem.

The goal was special (Rashford is a good striker of the ball, better than Sterling) the rest of his game was at best average & often poor.

It should be a simple decision for Southgate on whether he thinks Rashford's best talents are more suited than Sterling's better alround game.

But now, Hoddle etc have set it up to put extra pressure on Sterling, & should he start & not particularly shine (as most England players don't) Rashford will become Pele without setting foot on the pitch & Sterling will be the scapegoat for any lack of quality in England's performance.

Hoddle has been England manager, he knows what he's doing on the outside is applying pressure, but like others, has always been on Sterling's case.

All that would mean is that both of our wide players would get a nice rest (and, assuming we get our transfers right, both of our big midfield signings as well)

Please explain your comment about his weak mentality. From what I have seen and heard he has anything but

It’s mad the same people criticising rashfords game last night are the same people who claimed sterling had a good game Saturday. Mind boggling
