You are right in what you’re saying and if anything you’ve repeated me in saying how bad Kaine was at the Euros. Sterling was too but like I mentioned that was off the back of an average season with us where any hopes shouldn’t be pinned on him. Now after how he has performed he rightly is in the spotlight to produce. I far from hate him, I hate that people can’t see his flaws and because he has a tough time in the media they can’t see/say anything negative about him. You keep saying words to this effect. Does Cahill "have" to perform as he has won an FA cup. Does Alexander-Arnold and Henderson "have" to perform having reached a CL final.

Why is that you focus on Sterling its exactly what the media are doing!!! Its a team game so its upon all the England players to perform if he doesnt get the service then is that his fault or down to the non performance of others?

I also think you might be surprised by the quality of the "poor" opposition as we saw yesterday with Argentina. These are not Sunday league sides that England are playing they will be well organised and well drilled

Nobody is offering any excuses. But you and the English media have got Sterlings well and truly in your sights and if he doesnt score or create any assists no matter how good his all round play is he will be used as a scapegoat. He set up the chance for Kane against Nigeria yet Sky Sports ran a stat comparison with Rashford over the 2 friendly games and did not include the assist as it didnt help with their agenda

You are getting all confused. You are saying that he has had great season for City so has to do it for England. The reason he had a great season for City was has playing well with other great players who could pass to him where he needed the ball or were in the right areas when he crossed the ball. As I have explained with England he does not play with Sane Aguero Jesus Silva Silva

I dont want any England player to play under pressure, that pressure caused by our media have caused players to freeze in the past. I want every England player to play to the best of his ability unfortunately for Raz noNe of his England teammates are a patch on his club's teammates and that is a huge difference to enabling him to play to the level that he has reached this season

There has been a clamour for Rashford to play instead of Sterling and the moment that Raz cocks one thing up that clamour will be deafening.

I dont comment on indivual players in their threads as I look at the team play as a whole and for City the team has been unbelievable until England produce a midfield of Silva Silva Sane Fernandinho and KDB quality England will rarely see the very best of any of its forwards let alone Raz but thats not what the media want to discuss how much easier to pick on oe scapregoat and make him the focus of all that is wrong with English football and English footballers
