Like I said it was an interesting photo, but a bit weird that it was the main one used.

I'm sure you know mate it is all about clickbait and this picture would almost certainly have got the most.

I don't read scumbag press, which I presume were reporting what you have said, so I will take your word for it. So, genuine question, why Sterling and not other black players?
I got into this discussion with you because I believe a very good picture is just that and was not printed because the editor is racist. I don't know the ed. and I presume you don't either so it is just my opinion.

Because Sterling represents a successful, strong willed, independant, rich & talented black person, who isn't conforming.

If Rashford had left Utd & come to City, in a big transfer, he would be getting it.

He would also get it if he was white, to some extent, but if a non white person is in that position, it gives the racists a bandwaggon to jump on, where they can do their thing & get away with it.

I don't think this particular instance is racist - it's just a great pic. But the overall narrative of "young black man, with single mum, from the wrong side of the tracks, a bit flashy, a bit gangsta", is DEFINITELY racist. And I speak as a member of the scumbag press. :-)

I don't think anyone is saying this ONE incident is racist. What I am saying it is the constant drip drip of negative photos and stories. Can anyone name another footballer in the last 5 years that has had so much negative press ? you would really struggle to name a white player that's for sure. To me if it is not racism then it is bullying. A powerful media constantly attacking one person to 'amuse' others ? Further he only gets to reply if the media allow it.
