Media persecution of Raheem Sterling

I can imagine what a day at the Sun offices is like...

The editor walks in- it's mid-afternoon.
"Alright lads, we need some dirt on an England player to make an article about for tomorrow"

His writers start calling out suggestions.
"Boss, Jack Wilshere's kicking off about not getting to the World Cup"
"Nah, that's not bad enough"
"Boss, Dele Alli's been in a porn video"
"That's tame! I'm looking for something really terrible that one of the bastards has done"
"Boss, Raheem Sterling's just gone to Poundland"
"He did WHAT?"
 
It isn't glorifying gun violence, because it's widely known, thanks to the s*n, that his father was killed. Besides his fucking socks will cover it ffs!!!
 
I think it was wrong from Sterling. Not all people know or will know the reason. The reason is irrelevant because that Tattoo is sending the wrong message to young people

Must be thousands of people with gun tattoo's. knife tattoo's, naked women .skulls , Cocks tits fannys .tattoos of hearts being pierced by daggers and blood coming out.Could always play tbe shock horror routine
People have tattoo's for all sorts of reasons .I personaly dont give a monkeys what people want to stick on there body

It's a good thing he wears long socks then isn't it? Otherwise young people would've been getting the wrong message since he got it done in September.
 
Can see it now - millions of kids running down to Tesco to get their hands on an AK47... Outrageous reporting again and anyone who can defend either paper for this headline doesn't have a grasp on reality.
 
Missed all of this yesterday and can't believe I'm waking up to Raz all over the front pages. The call out culture on social media is horrible.

"This tattoo is disgusting. Raheem should hang his head in shame. It's totally unacceptable. We demand he has the tattoo lasered off or covered up with a different tattoo."

The reason is not irrelevant. The reason makes Sterling the perfect role model. Dad gunned down at a young age, he could have turned to a life of violence like so many other kids but instead he decided to make something of himself and vowed he would never touch a gun. And do you seriously think that young kids who don't know the reason behind it are gonna take one look at it and ask for an M16 for Christmas? When they are already playing Battlefield or Call of Duty or some other graphic war video game bought by their parents?

Don’t recall the ‘meedya’ darling, Mr Beckham, getting any abuse for his religious emblems. Then again, he’s white and wore red!

see, this is why i stick up for England when we play football, the amount of abuse from the media and social media to our players is f*cking pathetic. Totally agree Sterling gets treated badly by all, but i will defend Rooney and anyone else the same - give em a f*cking break! the Sun can really f*ck off, caused more damaged to this nations football side than anyone else.

no, but he had to put up with burning effigys and hearing sick abuse about his wife and children from grown adults with the media trying there best to split him and his wife up.
the media and majority of football fans are fickle, full of hatred and scum.
