Beat me to it, I've always referred to us as Man City and always will. There's plenty enough to get wound up about in the media as it is without inventing more nonsense.

Think it is something to do with length of words as well. Two short words (or two long) sounds better and more in sync than a long one and a short one. That's all.

E. G. never heard anyone say Manchester U.

I never use Man City, City locally or Manchester City to anyone from other parts of the country/world.

I don’t care what you say tho, crack on.

it does mildly annoy me when the media say Manchester Utd vs Man City. Considering the cunts don’t play in Manchester.

"Brave United are beaten in five-goal Etihad thriller despite MOTM performance from young academy product Pogba and goal of the game from the brilliant Sancho".
Depleted United could only call on St Marcus as late as 70 minutes, due to a stock check Wythenshaw High's freezers showing a discrepancy in fish fingers.

I listened to Savage 'n Sutton on the way home - stream of Rag fans coming on all bemoaning the 'attitude' and 'character' of the starting eleven. From what I saw the deficiency was in what I would call 'quality'. I've seen MANUre teams in derbies and the bunch who turned up today might beat our kids 'n women, but as Sutton said if City turned up there was only one winner!

Here's the headline for tomorrow's MUEN - Manchester United Football Club lose in 5 goal thriller, with Man City getting late goal awarded by VAR.

Did city do something to Jamie Redknapp?

Snidy attitude all match..prick
He’s actually pointless as a pundit on there. He doesn’t merit his role nowadays (if he ever did before).
He doesn’t bring anything of merit, or original insight. He has no USP. For example, Micah, Keane and Neville all for their faults I can see why they were there.

Express web site claiming Tinkerbell has upset the rest as he didn't travel to support the rabble while he is "injured". Another report says his sister like a tweet claiming he isn't injured.
Has he just seen his arse and refused to travel? Is he just injured? Do know, don't care, but I know we dodged a bullet when he went to the rags.

These have to be some of the most idiotic player ratings ever assigned in the history of Sky Sports, and that is saying something.

Ederson - 6

Alert to keep out Fred inside 10 minutes but could do nothing about Sancho's equaliser. Largely a spectator as so often the case when City play.

Kyle Walker - 6

Too easily sold by Fernandes' decoy run for Sancho's leveller but was relatively untroubled. Seems to play with his slippers on, but his pace and reading of the game makes the awkward look easy.

John Stones - 6

Saw his remarkable record of having not conceded in the Premier League when paired at centre-back with Laporte in two years ended.

It hasn't been that often, of course, given the near ever-presence of Ruben Dias, but made an important block to thwart a Telles' volley into the ground when this was a contest.
Aymeric Laporte - 6

Distribution wasn't always on point but showed good reading of the game, picking out Grealish with a fine pass on one occasion. Aggressive in both boxes when required - which wasn't often. Barely broke sweat in the second half.

Joao Cancelo - 6

Started many of the moves down United's battered right side and made an important late challenge to prevent Elanga from getting a shot away on the transition.

Less influential than he has been in other games this season, but acrobatic effort from Walker's cross nearly provided the ultimate party piece in the final 10 minutes.

The United defenders all got 5s, apart from One-Pisstaka, who managed to score a 4.

There wasn't anything negative about our display today. It was a full on team display but these cunsts always find a negative.
