Manchester where a tram does not run between 2 main train stations
Victoria and Piccadilly.

The Bury to Piccadilly Met goes through Victoria. EDIT- as the poster above says, that’s the Yellow Line.

That is the only one on the Metrolink Network though.

Instruct away fans to alight at ASDA/ANR and straight into their secure zone.

It avoids them mixing with our fan zone and CB coach welcome.

After the Brentford game there was about 1 tram on the Ashton line in 45 minutes with 2 turning up almost back to back after that.

This will be the first game I will be a bit more under pressure time wise to get back to the airport after the game.
Would anyone have advice on the best way to get to the airport?
Normally I get the train, but saw theres will a strike this weekend? Will it mean not train to the airport?

I think all strikes have been cancelled.

I walk back into town along the main road. Virtually every week there are cars blocking the road by the old Mitchell Arms. This of course delays trams going in both directions as they simply cannot pass. It was very poorly designed, trams sharing the road with cars...... at a football stadium, with a main road being blocked off and 10,000 people walking along the road. Often the Manchester bound tram can get through but the Ashton line has no chance.
Shite.

Our tram got stuck at Holt town for a good while. Eventually the driver opened the doors for poeple to get off and walk to Piccadilly, only for the doors to then close and we start moving again. There were numerous other long waits at stations, finally topped off with running a red light or something similar at Timperley which triggered the emergency brakes and another delay as the driver had to sort things out with 'control'.

I don't know what time we set off but it was 20.10hrs when we arrived at Altrincham.

As you correctly state, it was/is a pile of shit.

I actually went on the City bus from Radcliffe met to the game for the first time and have to say it was 100% better than getting the two trams to the game. Much easier and definitely got home quicker.
