Bumping this thread as trams from Altrincham are only going as far as Old Trafford tomorrow. Bastards.
Yep, Cornbrook shut all weekend. Shit bus replacement service here we come.Bumping this thread as trams from Altrincham are only going as far as Old Trafford tomorrow. Bastards.
Yes that is exactly right, bloody disgraceful.Match day bus for me tomorrow.
Absolute farce.
No disruption to the trams when the rags play at home.
My reply from the Bee Network:Yes it does..
Ahead of the 2024/25 season, we wanted to remind you of an exclusive Season Ticket benefit we offer.
In partnership with TfGM, Season Ticket members can benefit from a discounted season long Metrolink tram ticket. This fixed price ticket covers your travel to/from Etihad Campus for every first team home match across all competitions, from any stop on the tram network.
Trams are a fast and frequent way to get around on a match day and you can even break your journey on the way if you need to. Metrolink Matchday Season Ticket holders also get priority boarding via the Fast Track lane for city bound trams at the Etihad Campus stop after each match.

Get on yer bike to the match and have 12 pints at the pub either side of it then ride home… all very safe and reasonable. And yet Comrade Burnham believes we should all be happy to ditch our cars, and use such unfit for purpose public transport. Or better still get on yer bike.
I used to have a Ford Capri back in the day, now and again used to put my bike in the bike and ride it home after a skinful, going back for the car the next day. Copper watched me going to the car one night and must have been warming up his breathalyser. Got my bike out of the back and he looked gutted. I expected a lecture about being drunk in charge of a pushbike but he didn't say a word.Get on yer bike to the match and have 12 pints at the pub either side of it then ride home… all very safe and reasonable.
Loads of people in south manchester still have no idea what an utter shitshow tomorrow will be. Told a few this evening that Cornbrook is shut for the whole weekend and they insisted I was mistaken
It will be an absolute fiasco today mate as you say. Totally agree as well with fans being unaware.Loads of people in south manchester still have no idea what an utter shitshow tomorrow will be. Told a few this evening that Cornbrook is shut for the whole weekend and they insisted I was mistaken
When track work planned for Alty tram then Northern trains should be at least 4 car sets, come on Andy sort transport out.Train from Altrincham to Piccadilly delayed and absolutely rammed. Not even got to Stockport yet.
Metrolink treats City fans with contempt and its pretty mind-blowing when you think about how much money they make from match goers and now people visiting the Coop live. It's easier to get to the Etihad on a non match day... Absolute clowns running metrolink.
Yes mate. Can you get back to piccadilly from the Etihad with these restrictions? Maybe the Bury tram?
We got there at 1710 as an old trafford bus pulled away, next one must have arrived just after you left and set off at 1750, managed to get back to sale at 1820.Went on the 1pm train from Navigation Road to Picadilly then tram to the stadium. Worked a treat absolute doddle.
Coming back was a bloody nightmare.
No sign of the replacement bus back to Old Trafford so gave up at 17:45 and headed to the station to catch the 18:10 Chester train. This train was due in to Navigation Road at 18:38. It eventually got there at 19:12 after stopping three times due to running over debris and having to get it checked out by an engineer.
So got home about two and a half hours after the game ended, the Fulham fans would have got back to London quicker.
