A negotiated safe passage for some of the lower ranked fighters to go into exile. Families can go too if necessary.
Use a 3rd party non aligned military to guarantee that when they give themselves up.
Israel can target who it holds responsible for the attacks that remain in Gaza with targeted assassination. And play the waiting game.
Cut off the routes that have been used to smuggle weapons into Gaza and offer development aid in return for weapons.
It's all probably pissing in the wind but Hamas isn't just a blob of Death Cult. Within that faction there will be schisms of thought that want to avoid being obliterated.
If only the answer to an age old war was that simple.
There is not a chance Israel will let ‘low level fighters’ go off into exile. Those same fighters more than likely took part in a massacre last week. How would you even know who was lower ranked?
They’ve also been trying to cut off routes for years and haven’t been able to do it, especially when countries like Iran are supplying them.
Hamas as a group can’t continue, especially after last week. War might not be the right answer, but it’s not a shock to see Israel wanting to fight back against a massacre.
