Middle East Conflict

To be fair, I think everyone - including me - went all in on Israel when we heard the news last night. It wasn’t confined to just a few
I'm not convinced it was everyone but I totally get your point. I'm interested in the reasons why.Someone mentioned confirmation bias earlier today , I think this is a major factor. The way things are reported by the media is a key aspect as well. Sometimes it's best to reserve judgement, but us humans just aren't very good at that at times.

He has to go after this surely ? One is that people will realise that the oppression has definitely caused risen tensions and globall support and secondly for the security failure, his promise to peolle who moves I to settlements was their safety
He traded in the safety of law abiding citizens for those of trespassers. I can't get down with that.

If this is the same guy we're speaking about, he later admitted to not being given the full facts, jumping to conclusions and removed the tweet as he didn't wish to misinform.

Sound familiar? It also does not address the fact that: the rocket was NOT Israeli. NOT fired by Israel. NOT intended to hit the al Alhi Arab Hospital and didn't hit the hospital at all. It's not the gotcha you think it is and doesn't do anything to absolve Islamic Jihad's suspicions of being responsible either. Again, you are basing your entire justification on a TWEET.

You REALLY want Israel to have been responsible for this, don't you.
Well he would say that wouldnt he?

Its no different from a hamas spokesperson saying that not them speaking in the telephone tapping

You are so definite. Yet your conclusions are based on such little definite evidence. And you conveniently ignore as a mistake any thing that disputes your stance.

I just don't see how you can be so sure.

I hope you're day job isn't a judge ;-)

You’ve literally just made up a quote, put it in speech marks and implied I said it. Wtf. You are an odd creature.

I haven’t said anywhere “all the evidence points to Israel” in fact what I literally said, in the post you are replying to, is that I don’t have any evidence and I haven’t seen any evidence in any major news outlets that can conclude whether it was Israel or whether it was Palestine or whether it was someone else.

I mean you have literally just lied that I said something I fundamentally didn’t. Why?
The quote wasn't aimed at you, more on a generic mood from those who believe the IDF are responsible for the hospital attack, but, you believe what you want.

Of course Hamas are “wrong” I could not agree more but they are but a symptom, and you are concentrating on getting rid of the symptom rather than the cause

The oppressive occupation of the West Bank and treating Gaza as an open air prison is equally wrong, should Palestinians be treated as 2nd class citizens, have their land taken, have detention without trial
Christ that sounds so familiar.
Civil rights marches in Derry 1969 anyone?

President Joe Biden's day-trip to the Middle East was organized in a flash. It fell apart just as quickly, in the blinding blast of an explosion in Gaza that killed hundreds of people at a hospital.

Even before he was in the air from Washington, the second prong of the president's regional visit — the short hop from Israel to Jordan for meetings with Arab leaders —was off.

The result was an American president being pictured with a hardline Israeli president, pointing the finger at Palestinian groups for the latest atrocity.

Officials said Biden arrived with three goals: To stand with Israel, to help ease humanitarian conditions in Gaza, and to deter outside actors (Iran and its armed proxies) from becoming more deeply involved.

All many in the region will remember is how Biden embraced Netanyahu.

sauce is the Daily Fail.

How many times have I posted and detailed the evidence we have understood, yet all you can go off is a tweet which was deleted when the one who posted it realised it hadn't happened the way it had been portrayed.

You have conveniently ignored all the other evidence until it became improbable for you to do so, yet you hold "that" tweet in much higher regard over video evidence of the rocket, visual evidence of the destruction to the car park, knowledge that PIJ has the ability to make such a strike.

A fucking tweet is your evidence. Christ.

Less sketchy, but this is someone countering it. Worth saying they’re arguing plausibility rather than anything concrete, no one will know for sure I don’t think unless independent experts are allowed in to investigate.

Interesting read, to make what he thinks could have happened. Israel would have had to take down a hamas rocket make it look like a misfire and then strike the hospital with one of their smaller ordnance. Stranger things have happened but seems abit much to me.

Sure. Reply directly to a poster and put a comment in speech marks and then continue to ask said poster to prove that (false) statement - totally how you go about making a “generic” statement.

Take note, that’s how you quote people.

And I will believe what I want.

Biden may want a two state solution, but Netanyahu doesn’t want one and getting rid of Israeli settlements will be portrayed as Hamas winning and spark civil strife in Israel. Hamas doesn’t want a two state solution either.

Netanyahu and Hamas have driven both peoples up a blind ally where the only option left is hostility and death.

Not sure there is a way forward with any of the current leadership in charge.
Gets us no nearer a solution, but I’m inclined to agree with you.
