Middle East Conflict

As I have said before I think Israeli is like a Trumpist America - blind to what the rest of the world can see. All around them are states striving to destroy them - they are not telling Israel what they are up to Israel has to use all sorts of subterfuge to try and keep across it - as was once said their foes only need to get lucky once. A dirty bomb - poisoned water - a rudimentary nuke anything. If a WMD from an unknown source struck could they rely on all their mates? I have seen brawls develop like that and the originator normally gets a proper kicking as his mates suddenly remember they left the gas on at home

I see the the terrorist state is at it again.
"Iran's supreme leader on Saturday threatened Israel and the U.S. with “a crushing response” over attacks on Iran and its allies."
This is the terrorist state that sent 300 ballistic missiles into Israel, not in defence, as Israel hadn't attacked them, but in support of terrorists groups. Then said peace is the only way.

Israel responded in kind, and now Iran wants another go. And then will probably claim they want peace again.
Iran started this latest salvo by choice. If it kicks off big style, they started it.

Have the hostages been released yet...thought not.
"They started it." Really?

Every day men, women and kids are slaughtered by Benjamin Netanyahu on an industrial scale. An industrial scale! Every killing machine he can find is used. Not by him though: he stays well away from the action, appearing only on TV in his nice $5,000 suit and his crisp white shirt. Ever the strongman, always the coward.

If he'd really wanted to free the hostages he could have done it. Possibly in another way, almost certainly not this one. The families of the hostages lost patience with Netanyahu some time ago, believing he had abandoned them. But it seems clear that this is about something bigger now; only the deluded would think otherwise.

The Guardian reported yesterday that the suspicion is: "the Netanyahu government’s ultimate war aims include territorial expansion." It's neither a new idea nor a new suspicion. Few would suspend their belief. After all, most wars are about territory, so why would this one really be about anything different, if you could call carpet-bombing mainly defenceless civilians a "war."

Netanyahu's scorched earth policy has ensured that most of Gaza is gone now; only wretched, starving people are left amidst the smell of the dead. So when will the cruelty end? When will enough be enough to sate his appetite for attrition? The death toll has already passed 50,000. So will 100,000 do it? Or 500,000? Or will one million do the trick?

He won't say as his horrific war of attrition grinds relentlessly on, presumably until what remains of Gaza and the people in it are no more. US and UN pleas alike are ignored. Perversely the former arms him while the latter's operatives in the field are shot at. Because in this so-called "war" nobody is safe.

Another Jewish man wrote a song called Masters Of War; a little over 60 years later every line can be applied to Netanyahu. Every single one. Because only the names change. I suggest you listen to it. But I suspect you won't.

Both Dylan and Benjamin Netanyahu are guaranteed their places in history; but for one of them it won't be for the reason he, nor anyone else for that matter, would have wanted to be remembered.

But yeah, like you said: "They started it." It could have been Netanyahu speaking.

Not just carpet bombing. Israeli drones are targeting children in the street.

Israel has murdered more than 50 children in Jabalia alone in the last 48 hours.

Happening right now:

LIVE: 13 killed as Israel intensifies monthlong siege on northern Gaza

  • Medical sources say Israeli attacks on Gaza have killed 23 people, including 13 in the north, since dawn.
  • UNICEF condemns Israel’s “indiscriminate strikes on the Gaza Strip”, noting that more than 50 children have been killed in the attacks on Jabalia in the north in the past 48 hours.

Absolutely disgusting and this very obviously isn't war, it's genocide

Shame on those who continue to defend it or stay silent. No one can pretend they didn't know

Those 50 children are affiliates of Hamas and Hezbollah, didn't you know?

Israeli Nazis, deliberately killing yet more innocent women and children today.

Deliberately planned genocide, funded and supported by the USA , the real "Evil Empire".

Starting with the genocide of the Native American tribes on their own soil , the military and intelligence forces of the USA and their proxies have killed millions of innocent civilians (predominantly women and children) in countries around the globe. I doubt any other Empire in history has killed more.

Whoever wins the Presidential Election, it will make no difference. The blood letting and needless slaughter is never going to stop while they pursue their military (political and economic) goals of Full Spectrum Dominance (land, sea, air and space).

God Bless the USA , really ?

I believe I posted this a few months back, of my prediction that Yoav Galant will be sacked by Netanyahu.

And thus it materialised.

My take then was that there might be a military coup that oust Netanyahu for the far-right he has been committing (more so with Smotrich, Ben Gvir and the far-right Knesset), and if the military did with the pretence of peace and 1967 two-state, Galant would have been the savior by proxy.

Whether Galant could have conducted it for personal vindication on the ICJ war crime, or for political 180 turn to appease the Middle East and much of the global world salvaging from the pariah state Netanyahu has concocted, either one would have been a solution to ceasefire.

He’s sacked now though.

Sinwar gone, Nasrallah gone, Gallant gone, Biden gone, Harris gone.

Bibi is on an unprecedented run. We may be a step closer to the final solution.
