not doubting his ability mate, just saying if you took away his pace,he would'nt be as good.

LOL. So u r saying that if you take away a particular players strongest attribute they wouldnt be as good. No shit Sherlock.
If Bellamy didn't have his pace he would be played centraly in a Tévez role, and he could do a good job there.

I remember being suprised at how good his finishing was over his first season with us, and that along with his determination and fairly good passing would probobly mean he would still be good enough for a top ten prem side even without his pace.

Anyway, where did this whole Bellamy debate come from?

Lol.

Bellers is a top player and what makes him better is the fact the rags hate him with a passion !! good enough for me !!

i don't think Ireland has anything to prove to us or to the manager he has than it already and im kool with what brings to our play and i dont think silva is a playmaker as ireland is,so what are saying?.

I like Ireland but the problem is he hasnt been in form all season.

and where and when is he going to get a chance to get back to that in our team?

maybe if we had 2 teams one from prem and one for the europa, fa, etc maybe in there?

milner is a good player but is not worth the 28 million price tag but i do think he will be even better in years to come , as long as he fulfils his potential and i think were the perfect club to do that. Hi everyone im new to the forum :)
Welcome to the forum marek. I agree with you, if he fulfills all his potential he may well prove to be worth £28m, but I still can't shift a nagging doubt that he's not worth it. Maybe when he scores the winner in the Europa Cup Final against the Rags next season (once they've been knocked out of the CL) I'll back down on the price issue. Mind you, I think I'd rather beat them at the semi-final stage, as it hurts more.

However, as many have said, the player is worth what we are willing to pay for him........and thanks to our generous owner, that's a lot of money.

ireland is good at what he does, he can pick a pass but so can milner, has a great first touch but so does milner, can finish but so can milner not a lot of difference there

but when the chips are down and the opposition team is in control of a game he becomes lost because he does not have the ugly stuff in his locker unlike milner who is able to give you 100% commitment to the cause no matter what the situation

for these reasons i think it is a bit unfair to compare ireland and milner as i think they are totally different players i would compare ireland to robinho

milner will offer a different dimension to the team if we sign him his versatility is something else that ireland and for that matter not many players have

I agree with pretty much all that is being said regarding Ireland, i personally dont see him ever getting his form back with us, sometimes players just reach a plateau with a club and he hit his in 08-09. He was deserving of his player of the year award but ever since nothing, maybe he got a little big headed but we cant accept any passengers.

Milner for me is probably worth about £20m in todays market, we have to account for the City premium and also the English premium, we have seen it before and will do so again but i say that we should buy Milner, he is a Mancini kind of buy as he can play several positions, i personally think he will be a great addition to our team which is becoming in my opinion one of the strongest squads in the premier league.

Onwards and upwards, we are CITY and we will rule for many years to come, just get behind whoever comes in and say thanks to any that leave..

Seems to have gone quiet in the press on the Milner transfer. Only seen odd snippets here and there (i.e. him and barry possibly talking), nothing substantial (i.e. agreed deals, fees etc).

Whats the general consensus on this now? I take it we are still very much interested?
