Just been on bbc news: milner will wait till after wc to decide on his future

Hmmm i wonder how this fits with city's plans? I think James Milner might have just fcuked up his chances of coming here. Roberto wants his targets early!

Edit: Most people are probably expecting a lescott saga but i get the feeling city might show they are not mugs in this deal and walk away.

whats he supposed to say he is contracted to villa at the mo, he aint going to come out in a England press conference and say i wanna sign for somebody else

Re: city make milner bid (SSN)

I like the fact the media seem to think Chelsea are going to go head on with us! Do they not listen when it's already been stated they will not go into transfer wars with us!!

Re: city make milner bid (SSN)

I don’t think he’s the most spectacular player in the world, with the greatest ability, but there is one thing I really like about him – his attitude. The guy is a grafter, but he also has this will to succeed and improve himself. And he seems fearless, never appears to be overawed by the situation.

To be honest, after buying plenty of players who can’t be arsed, cause trouble, love themselves too much or buckle under the pressure, it would be nice to have a model pro who takes pride in his job and does what he needs to. That’s one of the many things Hughes got wrong with his transfer policy – you have to buy the personality, not just the talent. If we want to make a great team we have to be picking people up with this mentality rather than show ponies and wideboys

Apologies if already posted.

To be quite honest, if we want him, we should just pay the money and get it done. I'd hate for this to turn into a repeat of the Lescott saga, or even the Barry to Liverpool saga.

Re: Milner Will Cost 30 million

then if they want ned he will cost £15m

( says on bbc gossip they will only pay 3m)
