lol, average player! have people been watching the same player!!? he is quality, carried villa for alot of the season and i actually think he will have a top WC when he gets the chance.

I hope you're right Billy, no one wants another protracted transfer saga. I think we will end up paying about £26M for him, I will be surprised if Villa take less.

I can see the sense in buying young English players and I agree it's a good policy.

My main point seems to have been overlooked somewhat, and that is the stick Milner will get if we fork out an over inflated fee and he doesn't become the best player in the world overnight.

Fingers crossed though, I'd love to see Milner in a City shirt.

Milner is a better than average player.In my opinion he would make a better signing than Barry has been. Milner works a lot harder than Barry.

Very good player, and a guarenteed 7/10 every week over a 40plus game season. The same can be said about the likes of Fletcher and Valencia at The Swamp, they might well not be the marquee signing that 16 year-olds will find themselves "wanking" over - but nevertheless, Milner is a top, young english footballer who chips in with goals too.

Im with Stony on this one, hopefully he wouldnt get treated as Lescott did/does - dont hold your breath though fellas.

To be honest, I try not to take any notice. People will always slag off players and love players in equal measures. I suppose it's part of being a supporter.

I think Milner's a great player - others will think he's average. In the end as long as he plays, we'll all be able to see for ourselves.
