The zero reading suggests to me that it is an 'above summer' level mate.

The more I think about it the more I think Nicola placed the phone on the bench.

Phone was placed on the bench not to disconnect the work call which may have happened if she put the phone in pocket.

She was listening to a Teams meeting on loudspeaker. Putting the phone on the bench would allow her to keep listening but have her hands free for the dog etc.

Today at St. Michael’s it is 0.38m, however upstream round the bend near the top field (Catterall) it is 7.01m. Very strange the difference in such a short stretch

Sit in plenty of meetings everyweek on teams whilst staying on mute.

I can only guess thats a false reading mate.
I also still think the reading is above summer (or a low) level.
On some gauges I use last summer gave minus readings in the drought... and the rivers were not dry.
