If Sturridge fulfills this potential everyone talks of then he will be welcome to come back to the richest club in the world when we are dominant in a few years and after he has served his apprenticeship and shown he can do it at the highest level, Ok that will cost us but so would his wages for the next say 3 years (be it 35k or 60k). If he doesnt cut it then unlucky and the decision is justified.
I am in niether of the previously mentioned corners, I believe that Sturridge is not prepared to fight but wants first team football, Knowing what our plans potentially could be, I think he knows he is not going to make it with us for the next couple of years and so is looking to move to a club that will at least use him as the third choice striker, with us come next Aug it is not beyond the realms of possibility that he could well be 6th/7th choice striker.
