Send him to the rags, let him be whiney and injury prone there.

Yeah that'll show him, 3 or 4 medals a year is great punishment.
He clearly doesn't want to stay here so who cares where he goes.

Well if he clearly doesn't want to be here then yeah fuck him off but I haven't heard anything from him that suggests he wants out is all I'm saying.

The Clubs that made offers - Chelsea,Liverpool,Villa,Spurs and Newcastle.

Its got to be any of them(apart from toon), unless someone has made a late move.

Maybe it's for the best if he does go ....... he's never likely to put in a full season here , or show the consistency required to reach the very top.

If Sturridge fulfills this potential everyone talks of then he will be welcome to come back to the richest club in the world when we are dominant in a few years and after he has served his apprenticeship and shown he can do it at the highest level, Ok that will cost us but so would his wages for the next say 3 years (be it 35k or 60k). If he doesnt cut it then unlucky and the decision is justified.
I am in niether of the previously mentioned corners, I believe that Sturridge is not prepared to fight but wants first team football, Knowing what our plans potentially could be, I think he knows he is not going to make it with us for the next couple of years and so is looking to move to a club that will at least use him as the third choice striker, with us come next Aug it is not beyond the realms of possibility that he could well be 6th/7th choice striker.

Personally i think the phrase we won't be held to ransom comes to mind. We held of on the RSC fee. Yes we did buy buy Bellamy for more than he was worth but personally I like him as a signing watch his work of the ball he gives the oppositions back 4 no time whatsoever. i personally have no worries about losing Sturrigge because I think you have to want to play for a club and he doesn't. Look at SWP went to Chelsea didn't work out welcomed back with open arms. Do you think the same would happen with Sturridge and his attitude?
