Oh, I forgot to say one important thing - You must eat some russian food like borsch or blins

Or we could just go somewhere like this?
<a class="postlink" href="https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=mcdonalds+near+Russia,+Moscow,+Pushkinskaya+Square&hl=en&ll=55.764594,37.603313&spn=0.000012,0.008036&sll=55.765535,37.604688&sspn=0.004521,0.008036&oq=mcdoanlds+Pushkinskaya&hq=mcdonalds&hnear=Pushkinskaya+ploshchad',+Moskva,+gorod+Moskva,+Russia&t=m&z=17&layer=c&cbll=55.764594,37.603313&panoid=uoZ6UsVlGK7URBTFCFDyRQ&cbp=12,270.27,,0,13.1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=mcdona ... 27,,0,13.1</a>

(This is the first McDonalds in Russia that opened in 1990...technically, that's a historical site, and you get fries with that piece of history)

To all those going to Moscow please behave yourselves, and don't go looking for trouble because the Moscow police will not treat you with kid gloves the way our police do. Watch out if you drink the local beers and Wodka because they are a lot stronger then what we get back home, and it won't take you long to get drunk, and if you do you could well find yourselves missing the flight home very easily.

Got to Moscow. After a 3hr 10 min flight, a 25 min queue to get our visas stamped, a 45 min train journey from the airport to Moscow, 4 stops on the Metro (you'll all enjoy sussing it out) & a 5 min walk to our hotel we are on our way out for the evening. The adventure has started. Beer time is upon us.

320 Roubles (£6.50ish) for the train only. They do a combined train & 1 metro journey for 360 Roubles. Saves queuing for Met tickets at the station. Jobs a good 'un.

Been trying to get a decent map of the metro to figure where we're going. Got the stations we need written down in Cyrillic should be sound.. think we have to change lines to get to our hostel though :-\ could be fun! haha

EDIT: Scrap that, found one. Print this out before you go gents, looks good to me: http://see-you-in-moscow.com/_bl/0/47721536.gif Just make a note of the metro name in cyrillic.

Looks like the squad are flying out tomorrow, ZT8431 departing to Moscow at 3pm, from Terminal 3.

ZT are Titan Airways, a specialist charter airline.

Didn't spot any other blues. Getting into centre easy. There is a magazine on the train inside back page is a metro map. In typical Manc style I ripped it out and shoved it in my pocket.
Ticket machines at station and metro have an English option

Got in on easyjet today too. Great place you just need to be streetwise like any big city. For the Aeroexpress (followed the signs to the other end of the airport from where we arrived) from Domodedovo to Moscow there were touch screen machines for the tickets. It had an English option. 320 rub one way and 640 return -we got the returns. Feed bank notes into the cash slot and it gives you change. I didn't see the train plus metro option on the machine but got those from the ticket windows at the metro 30 rub each. On the metro it was not easy to see the station names from the train. I had read it was best to count the number of stops and now know why.

Not too cold but deffo need a coat rather then flip flops and shorts.

Everybody who is going/already there have a fantastic time, enjoy the game, please stay safe and please, please all give an extra cheer for me and for everyone else who can't make it.

Good luck everyone, especially the lovely de niro & his party!! :-)

Anybody who have a spare ticket or is still able to buy one - I really beg you to get me one, as Krieng's postman was unluckely to found the third ticket, so he has no ticket for me(. I've never seen City lvie and it seems like I won't be able for a long time, so thegame like that is what I've been looking forward for more than for 3 years. There's no problem for me to meet you to pay for the ticket even if you fly in Moscow the latest EasyJet flight on the matchday.
So, PM me, please, if you can help
