I couldn't let the right wing divs on here drag this place down so I dusted off my beret and got back in the saddle.

Comic Relief soon, be prepared for dozens of smart arsed comments then about 'scruffy Africans' and 'helping our own' and all the rest of it.

In fact if the guilty parties don't mind, I could easily start that thread right now? 'It's a disgrace that we give money to 1 year olds who are blind and have AIDS, we should be spending the money getting soldiers into a studio to sing Westlife songs instead'

They'll spend that money buying weapons of us anyway then we kill them. It's a win-win situation for our great country and our noble Queen.

Sure, innocent English kids are dying daily along with Muslim kids but it's a big money game and money matters more than human life. Not in my head but in most peoples and certainly all governments.

i just cant see how it would work? if you are that commited to a cause, devoted to being anti western and fighting for their devotion to religion, how could money change that? i appreciate money is a very powerful thing, but it just seems the wrong decision to me. We've always got money when we need to kill people or fly to the moon or stuff. It's just not there when kids need clothes, housing or food. Or when beaten women need a place to live or when innocent people need protecting from criminals.

As for why they'd accept our money, it's simple, for me anyway, they're all the same, religious people, leaders of men, all money hungry corrupt bastards.

I don't believe for a minute that the hierarchy of the Muslim world believe in the religion at all. Just like the Pope and all the other religious maniacs out there. It's just an excuse for brutality, rape and murder.

On a smaller scale it's like nob heads who use football as an excuse for violence. That's all any of these people are if truth be told.

What I mean is that we can always afford to go to war yet we can never afford to get a few more beds in hospitals or people off the street (unless there's a commonwealth games on).

I'm just saying it'd be money better spent if we spent it helping our own instead of killing others. Simplistic, definitely but then my ideals are quite simple when you get down to it.

I know of 3 people personally who have died due to not being able to afford medication for their cancer yet on a daily basis we spend millions on bombs and bullets that leave other people, or more recently a lot of our own youth, maimed or dead.

Yeah I noticed by my last comment appeared to back up your original point but I was talking about OUR government neglecting its people in favour of bombs and bullets. Charities should be free to help out people as and when it's needed with no boundaries to that.
