Nasri Appeal (merged).

Re: Appeal or not? SN.

It will never be rescinded. Nasri was an idiot for getting involved. He should have just stayed on the ground rolling around in agony. If only he'd shown that much fight in the wall against United....

The FA absolutely will not want to be seen as lenient when it comes to violent(ish) conduct, so they will reject it outright.

No-one but me seems to be mentioning that the 'flick' or 'butt' that Nasri's sent off for is actually just 2 sweaty heads sliding off each other!

Disgraceful decision by the linesmen and that's putting it mildly.

Will cost him time and money on the big stage for sure if we remember his name but as many have said it won't get Nasri off.

The current rules are too antiquated for that to happen and they need to be changed.

No need to do that because it inflamed a situation that had cooled down.

When you look at the abuse linesmen and refs get from players every waking minute but do nothing other than the odd yellow for swearing at them they are setting themselves up for bigger falls when the easy option is taken.

Send a player off for verbal abuse to clean up their act but don't send them off for what Nasri and Bassong got up to its not what the game is about nor should be about.

Hughton's comment on Sky...""On the sending off, there was certainly a coming together of heads and some movement, now whether that was enough for a sending off... if the referee has given it for that reason, was it a bit harsh? Probably yes."
The lino gave it .

Still quite telling that the opposition manager has his own doubts

Re: Appeal or not? SN.

No point in appealing but why not write to the FA for 'clarification' of some of the refereeing decisions. Then let the press know in the same way the FA let it be known they were considering charging Mancini last week.

Such as 'it is believed Manchester City have written to the FA for clarification of rule interpretation following a number of decisions in their game against Norwich'. That way they can be seen to criticising without actually making any criticisms.

hughton is as fair and reasoned as they come.

IF IT HAD OF BEEN FERGIE HE COULD HAVE GIVEN HIS PLAYER A BRAIN ANURISM LEADING TO DEATH ON THE PITCH.
