If this comes off, I think the only thing were missing that all the other top teams have is a world class CB to partner Kompany. Lescott is great, but I think if we want to win the CL we need to have a vastly experienced early 30's world class CB.

Coming to think about it, just imagine Kompany, Savić, Richards and Boyata in their late 20's/early 30's with a few years CL experience! JEEEZZ!!!

(Sneijder would be nice as well though please!)

I disagree - we need a VERY fast wide player as well as Nasri. At the moment we're too narrow

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't he on international duty. If so, wouldn't we have to wait for news? The media would say nothing more than City and Arsenal have agreed to terms if that's the case.

Looking very good.

Intelligent rotation will be essential. Aguero will, of course, need a rest periodically but I am still optimistic that Dzeko and Balotelli can form an effective partnership.

On the basis of his pre-season form, I believe that Kolarov deserves an extended run and that he could be a revelation this year.
