He is solid in a tackle, good in the air and has a decent range of passing, i know he has cost us points with casual passing and his decision making at times is awful but he only played for us 20 times, in a new league and alot of them were from the bench, and hes been written off took vidic six months to settle! With a run of games in him i think he will develop into a good player but he needs game,s coates at liverpool is in the same boat. Mancini was impressed enough to sign him from partizan and wenger wanted him too all he has losted is his confidence but he wont get it back without regular games.

A fair post, we might be too quick to have written off his career just yet. I hope he develops at Fiorentina, if he goes there.

Most centre backs don't peak until there late 20's, he's young enough to improve given good coaching, no idea why people don't see that. Tony Adams peaked early 30's, writing a 22 year old off is ridiculous imho.

Its sad isn't it ?

It even happens with players who were vital in our winning of the league. Just look at the negativity directed at Dzeko yesterday on the BM Forum. Would be good if people gave our own players a bit of a break - even of they have a bad match ! (and I don't even think that Dzeko was bad yesterday)
