I think we just need one really good CB to replace MDM. I still think Mangala can come good if he's playing with a better back line. I am not sure about Denayer as although he had a good season in Scotland he's not been picked regularly at centre back for Galatasaray being used mostly at full back. That said he probably deserves the chance if we can bring in at least two good full backs and perhaps Sandro and Coleman would make the difference. Problem is Clichy counts as home grown so if we look to replace him then, ideally, we need another home grown.

I agree, (I assume Denayer is one of the 4?) I would only bring in a left and right fullback, but mainly for what they can contribute going forward and to the team as a whole, not necessarily to improve the defence.

Like you say, any defender would look rubbish in our team right now, Pellegrini can't organise the team to defend as a unit full stop, and the only solution is a new manager. While this manager is in charge, we should just accept that we will ship goals for fun.

Imagine what Mancini would do with this collection of defenders? Clean sheets galore.

We need to address the full back positions fairly quickly, we've 4 options, and they're all 30 or over. Centre half we're sorted, Demichelis will be gone after this season and we've got Kompany, Mangala, Otamendi and Denayer to return, plus Adarabioyo and Humphreys as youth options with promise. I'm not convinced Maffeo or Angelino are quite ready to step up to regular action, backup options possibly, but we need starting players in the fullback positions.

Ricardo Rodriguez is the only defender we need in the summer. RB will be solved by Denayer/Maffeo/Zab/Sagna.

This, but for our midfield as well. So much slow, misplaced, laboured passing in the midfield. The back 4 without company play like 4 strangers and our concept of playing an offside line is laughable. We need to sort the coaching out as soon as possible. Don't get me wrong, BM are playing well and are having a good season, but the past two months just haven't been good enough.

just need our captain back , the only thing our defence is missing is a leader someone who can organise , VK and otter are first choice for me
