So why did you include Joe Corrigan (Sale Moor) in your definitive list of true Mancs to play for City then? Presumably he's a stiff then?

A friend of mine from London had no interest in football until he came up to Manchester Uni and was living on Claremont Rd.

On Saturday afternoon he saw loads of people walking past carrying inflatable plastic bananas. He followed them to see where they were going and obviously discovered they were going to the match so he went too. Since then he's been a committed blue.

And how many on here would pass up the chance to see a game in a foreign city like Madrid, Barcelona, Munich, Paris, etc?

Mmm can I swap him with Neil Young fallowfield....although a good chance big Joe might have been born at Wythenshawe hospital.... (is that the bottom of the barrel I can see)

I am new fan(from Sven era) and so i may not be the right person to comment. My experiences about city are only over the net and on the telly. But my true feeling is that as long as the real city fans remain "city fans" and they are not priced away which city does not seem to do, the soul of the club will remain true blue, whoever might come and go..

I commute to the games from London.

Returning after the Everton game a few weeks back 2 lads from the far east boarded the train and sat close by - city shirts, scalves, hats, badges, everything.

As the train drew closer to Stoke they each went to the bathroom and retuned with City memorabilia packed into backpacks. They then got off and I understood from their conversation that they were then off to see Stoke - Utd.

Didn’t really know what to think about it... Didn’t like it at first... But then figured I’d have no qualms doing the same if in a foreign country with no allegiance. Just love football.

See i've got no problem with that, people just loving football... two games in one day is love.

The only thing I really have a problem with is the fact that the more "tourists" start turining up to our games the more the club will charge. It's an endless thing too. Ask any fans of any big clubs.

City have always been a working class supported club. As soon as away tickets reach £45-50 many can't afford it. Many can't even afford the extra games ontop of the SC's in the cups. The only thing "tourists" bring is over inflated ticket prices long term. Next thing I know I'll have to go halves on my £900 SC with my Dad and to to just 9 or 10 games a season because I can't afford it on my own. I wont be fucking happy!

So in short you are blaming fans you dont know (if the in fact exist) for something that hasn't yet happened (and the evidence so far suggests wont happen)?

And to make it worse the fact that we now support a team that lasts longer in cup competitions, offering more games to watch is also a bad thing?

Go get 'em tiger.
